This isn't good...

The new QuickTime brings down Firefox when I try to look at the new iPod ad on the Apple site... a rare example of Apple not having their $hit together...

can anyone confirm whether new ipod will work with old firewire adapter? i don't have usb 2.0 on my computer... so that would be a crappy present from the SOL fairy.

Sorry but 2 or 3 hrs video is pish , it probably equates to less in reality and i would have loved to watch a film then listen to some tunes on the train, nope i will be out of batteries before the end of my movie.
I think the biggest selling accessory will be big muckle battery packs!
Oh well it looks very nice in black.
PS. i bet the case was added last minute due to the Nano issues!

If your daily commute is longer than 3 hours one way, this device is probably not for you. You'd be better off with a portable DVD player. That kind of commute is quite a rarity though. I agree 2 hours is on the low side.

can anyone comment on the SQ? If it indeed sound better, I think apple will have my money again.
