How long will this last? I might pick up some HD650/600.

This is a really the first time I have considered these phones can someone help fill me in on the difference in sound and price? I promise I am using the search function and googling like crazy. I want to get in on this!

Not having heard them, HD600 is supposed to be more analytical and bright--a little more ety; HD650, a little more like IE8, lush bass and mids, etc.
Quick summary from what I've read.

Any Sennheiser earbuds worth mentioning?

check the IE8 appreciation thread thats what i ordered.

And someone said the the discount is off of MSPR? I found one figure saying the MSRP was $550ish, so the discount would make them about $225 + tax. The regular going price is around $400? Hmmmmm.

EDIT: $275, silly me

Did anyone order the HD600 or 650? Can you confirm a final cost after discount?

Um, yeah, search on IE*8. It's worth spending the money. If you want some less expensive, I don't know their product line and the less expensive models were at MacWorld, so I don't know if they will offer those.

Half of 450 is 225, of 550 is 275.

I would have loved to pick up my IE8's for 249 about a month ago.. Anyone whose on the fence, just order them. For the full sized phones it doesn't seem as hot of a deal since the HD800's aren't eligible..

Yeah, I got excited about the full size ones, but the MSRP is so high it almost negates the deal. Senn lists the MSRP as $650 for the 650 (lol) and 600 as $520.

Bleh.
