I have the NE-8's, the cord noise is very low. But if you don't use comply tips I find they can easily fall out of your ears. Maybe it's just me.
For microphonics, you should use a small cable clamp and secure it on you t-shirt neck collar - it eliminates most of it. The RE0 comes with one in the box.

I prefer them with the black dual flanges, because the sound tubes on the NE-8's are so short that I need the extra length. When I try to use them with Complys, the place that they sound right is uncomfortable because the shells of the monitors push against the helix of my ear. The longer Complys might be OK.
