I am still pretty sure that 'burning water' involves a reaction that is thermodynamically going to mean "putting more energy in than you get out".

Hydrogen vehicles still need to get the energy from somewhere, hydrogen just doesn't occur naturally in the environment. You either have to produce it by electrolysis or filter it out from fossil fuels containing it.

Gas is slowly dropping in price here in Athens, GA...

2 days ago it was $2.96/gallon.

Yesterday it was $3.39/gallon.

This morning it was $3.29 a gallon.

Now it is $3.24 a gallon. This is for regular gas, not premium.

We had a gas scare here in MD, evidently someone spread a rumor that gas stations would be closing at 4 pm today and for the whole weekend. Many people approached me at my workplace stating that there was an emergency broadcast stating the above. The rumor spread quickly and myriads people lined up at the gas stations waiting in lines to fill their tanks with what seemed like an average of $3.60 gallon gas. Up about 80 cents from yesterday.

Today it's $1.33/litre.

Will cars run on beer?

Man, if they did, the price of gas would plummet in New Jersey, where people always seem to be transporting more beer than gas in their cars.

So I have a query...with the fears of stations running out of gas, do you think people will be carrying gas containers again? I'm curious if it's legal to have gas containers on a highway or bridge in the US...
