My wife complains that I give her more earbuds and headphones than flowers. :-p

I was going to give her my pair of Monk but she prefers her pair of old Sony MDR-E741. Those are from the 90's and have been discontinued for a long time so if they break she will have to accept to have something else...

Yaaasssssssssssssssss

Hahahaha  Mine as well. She complains that she doesn't need all that audio equipment & that any will do....but then she has started to pick among them for the best sound possible

  Indoctrination is going as planned

I've got the Monk plus a week ago and I have them running on my PC 8 hours a day since and compared it with the original Monk I have since December and I still prefer the original Monk. The Monk + has more body but I like the original monks organic sound and soundstage. Anyone has the same impression?

My Originals aren't going anywhere.

@zhibli06 -- Maybe what would be great is a choice of the Monk, Monk + and a new model that can be a Massdrop exclusive, that will have a Massdrop x Venture Electronics or Venture Electronics x Massdrop start name attached to it.  Additionally, along the lines of the title Monk, maybe Dalai as in Dalai Lama, or Lama could be used.  I'm sure people would have fun thinking up of different names for the next low-cost-but-awesome-sounding product.  Just thinking off the top of my head.

Regardless of what happens in the future, thanks for offering the Monk Plus Exclusive Red, as it is sure to create smiles to those who purchased and are gifted the IEMs in the near future.

Monk plus has a bigger soundstage imo, with better resolution. The bass has better definition and its my go to earbuds at this point

Just received my pair of Monk+ and right out of the bag I have to say that I prefer Monk (which too does not have that many hours on them). Will give the Monk+ more time, though.

Love the thin foams. MAN they make Blox TM7 sound amazing!

Try two of the thin foams on each driver.

Eh, give it time to adjust, they will most likely grow on you, if not, its all good.

Out of the box I liked the Monk more, but after "burn in/adjusting" I prefer the Monk+. Monk is great fun, but I prefer the +. They are both just superb, though.

The Monk + for me seems to have more treble than the original Monk, but I don't I have got at least 50 hours of play on them, so I'm waiting to see how they change. But the amazing soundstage and musicality that make the Monk sound good are there as well, so I'm sure they'll grow on me
