Has anyone bought Monk from the VE website? Looks like I can either pick balanced Monk Plus or standard Monk Plus and the expansion accessory kit. Is there a way to get the accessory kit with balanced Monk Plus? Guess I could order both and have an extra Monk Plus.

@vapman If I can convince myself to get one like maybe the Supermini or the linked one by @golov17 that I was unaware of and boy does it have a nice price...  I can send you one to play with, although I must admit it's hiss prone.

Will use the balanced Monk Plus with my two PonoPlayer's. Balanced makes quite a difference on the PonoPlayer. Especially with earphones. Imagine balanced sounds better on any DAP that offers it. It is pure science.

PAW 5K is okay. Cayin N5 is good.

My colorfly c3 has been relegated to backup dap, and was put into service today with my Monk+'s. I forgot how nice the C3 sounds, and the Monk/C3 pairing is very nice!

Given that I haven't burned-in my various Monks yet, my impressions should be taken with a grain of salt, but the balanced Monk+ sounds a little bit clearer than the SE versions. Either way, you're getting a whole lot for so little.
 
Anyway, I joined my first MD today. Bought a handful of red Monks!
