Just listening to "the gig is off" from the soundtracks of Rudderless with Mrice E100 without foam( direct from Fiio X3ii). OMG they sound so transparent. I just hope Monk will be at the same level or above. I'm in love with E100 again.

I have both, and the E100 aren't bad but their treble peak gives me tinnitus and imo, the monk is more rich and more expansive in its soundstage. I feel like I am wearing full size cans when listening to the Monk, vs the E100 where the sound is more from inside my head.

I bought a Monk today Also got a free E100 from Newegg and also a $10 P180 from Edifier US. So, ~$17 for the trio is not half bad I must say.
 
I think there are two E100's and I think I have heard both. Unless it was production differences. I had one on loan that had pretty powerful bass with good sub emphasis but the treble had a weird peak which kinda ruined it. The one I "bought" is fine in the treble but has less bass and punch. Well balanced but lacking a bit down low outside against external noise unless EQ'd down low.
 
Seems the P180 and H180 are different also. Only read about the H180 but the P180 has less bass than either E100 and has really good balance, detail, and treble. What I've read about the H180 having as much or more bass than the E100 is not happening as it has just enough and is tight and clean and quick.
 
Kinda makes sense to complete the budget trio as the Monk should have the most bass and warmth and the least treble amount behind the Edifier and then the E100.

Yeah I have used E100 for a week and it doesn't compare to the Monk even after a day and a half, Monk's win hands down for me

Yep, Monk should replace the E100 in my top three. P180 and EG920 w/Earhoox are bigger airier sounding and more refined than the Mrice which are little step below. But for free they are just fine

I'm on board the Monk train. Now to wait a million years while they trundle their way across the planet with the rest of my 11.11 purchases. Can't wait to see how they compare to the Sennheiser MX470 which is the only decent earbud I've heard to date.
