Hi, just noticed the XB90EX has been discontinued according to the Sony Asia Website, I noticed there are two new models, XB50/XB70:

Just wondering if anyone knows if Sony will be replacing the XB90 ?

New Sony products are always a plus.i like that they chose aluminum for the housing but Whether a 12mm driver will replace sony's iconic 16mm i don't know.

Yeah, I'm hoping the two models above replace the low/mid range.

It could be a different, more effecient driver material, or something along those lines. It says electret condenser, but that doesn't really tell me anything. I think I'm going to order a pair later today, and I already have the XB90EX to compare with. It'll take a while before I can compare though, since it's going to be shipped from Hong Kong to Sweden. I'm a big fan of their XB series in general so I'm stoked to see if these are deserving of the iconic XB nomenclature.
