I would like to see one in China. Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen etc. Though may cost more for the vendor to set up shops there but the potential market exposure will definitely worth the cost.

These's nothing stopping Chinese members from organizing a meet. Anyone have any idea how many members live in China?

"I will say that the Carolinas tend to have good big meets and might be a possibility..."

Charlotte clearly has the infrastructure to handle this type of event especially with recently hosting about 30,000 people for the 2010 NRA convention in addition to being a finalist for consideration for the next Democratic National Convention. With a large international airport transportation is relatively easy. There are some great attractions in the area for families with children of all ages.

Should there ever be any serious consideration for Charlotte, I would be happy to assist those organizing it. That would also all me to give a hiatus from CanFEST for awhile to avoid any competition.

but you might have missed out on that thread....   Lets do a socal meet!?!?!?!

Sure!  There's been some talk about one, but the date keeps getting kicked into the future.  And one small catch - I might be in Arizona pretty quick.  I'd still be able to make LA meets, but would need to know a few weeks in advance.

I'd love to have a big european meet as wel, there's a small one now in Berlin (no offence), but it can't be compared to canjam.
Planetickets for me (and I'm just in the country next to it) would cost between 400 en 700€, without any other costs. Going by car would mean an 8 hour drive, and that's for only a 5 hour during event...

I think a UK city would have the best chance to organize such an event, and travelling to the uk is reasonably "cheap" (for me).

But if canjam 2011 is in NYC, me and the misses just might come over and stay for 2 weeks
