Where would one go to buy the 2.5mm mono connectors used to attach a headphone cable to the Sennheiser HD700 headphones? Is there a parts store that sells these?  They need to be narrow to fit in what seems like an ordinary plug.

If no one carries those particular 2.5mm plugs, improvise with 2.5mm connectors off of markertek or fleaBay (don't use whatever casing the plug comes with), then when the cable is finished but missing casings for the 2.5mm plugs, apply epoxy putty and then sand it down to the right size. Paint it if you want. Paint will add a slight bit of thickness, so take that into account.

The epoxy should have a good grip on the heatshrink meant to function as strain relief, at least 10mm should be good, I think.

The cable is thinner and has a 3.5 mm plug so it's easy to have my phone in my pocket and walk around my apartment wearing the HD 700's

Plan to shorten the cable so I can plug it into the BlueAnt Ribbon bluetooth adapter and also shorten another cable so I can run it from my phone without excess cable.

Hey, just happened to stumble on this thread. That BH photo cable is for the HD212, so maybe a HD212 cable will work?
