Hello there fellow head-fiers, 
 
I'm currently on the fence when it comes to buying either one of these iems. Death metal is the genre I listen to the most and I'm primarily concerned with treble detail and instrument separation. I know that both iems excel in separation and soundstage, but which of these would be considered king when it comes to treble extension? From what I've read, the UERM has wonderful highs, but can sound a bit unforgiving on albums that were poorly recorded (a common occurrence when it comes to old school death metal), whereas the 1plus2 according to several reviews have very natural extended highs that are not fatiguing at all. The bass seems to be the biggest highlight of the 1plus2. While I enjoy bass, I fear that the boosted lows on the 1plus2 might drown out the highs when things get really crazy in some death metal that already has a lot of low end. I hope I'm wrong, because I'm really opting for the 1plus2 after all the great things I've heard about it. However, I'm willing to go with the UERM if it does the genre more justice. Which iem do you think is more suitable for listening to death metal? 
 
 
PS: If anyone has either one of these iems it would be greatly appreciated if you could give some quick impressions on these songs.

IMO, the UERM has more fleshed out mids, which help fill in guitar riffs, drums, and vocals vs the more U-shaped 1p2. The 1p2 has the UERM beat on sub-bass extension though, which means it will have more of that in-your-chest rumble vs the UERM.
 
As for sibilance, I didn't find either to be particularly bad. The revised 1p2 is energetic, but more tamed compared to the original. The UERM has a slight spike in the upper treble, but not in a region that will be bothersome for most.
