Hi guys. I recently ordered a 9ft toslink cable but the supplier mailed me to say it was out of stock so they would ship a 15ft instead. However I have read a lot of info online regarding cable length and signal loss etc

So in short.... Will a 15ft toslink cable be alright to run from a TV to a dac?

I would say you should be ok. Audio quest sells cables much longer than that I run like a 10 ft cable with no issues I can't imagine 5 more feet will make a difference.

Tested it today and it's fine although it's longer then necessary but it does the job anyway so it can stay too long ha

Well that's good that it worked out for you. I figured you wouldn't have a issue.
