11 New Sony BA IEMs

So...

That would make the XBA-4 roughly £260 ($410) using current market exchange rates. I have a feeling it won't be priced that keenly around the rest of the world though. I reckon... £300 will be the RRP.

@Kiteki: yeah, even its sony store online sells much lower than MSRP, hopefully other retailer will sell even lower than JPY 24800.

I'm just wondering why the price difference between XBA-1 and XBA-2 is that big (~9000 Yen in Japan Sony Style, ~11000Yen in MSRP), considering the price difference among XBA-2 to XBA-4 is not that much.

Any ideas on when pricing details etc. will be known?

Highly interested in the 4 driver XBA-4! Wonder how it compared to the W4s... It look like sony is gonna get serious.

I too am very interested to hear/see how these compare to the W4/se-535. If they can take the best out of those 2 iems and then put in more authoritative bass while keeping separation and NO amp use necessary then they will be getting my money. I am probably in the wrong headphone family for the music I listen to anyway (RnB, neo-soul, house, funk, dub, reggae, jazz etc)

Hi all, you can check the official pricing in Japan here: http://www.sony.jp/headphone/lineup/balanced_armature.html
XBA-1 = JPY 7455
XBA-2 = JPY 18375
XBA-3 = JPY 24675
XBA-4 = JPY 30975

XBA-1iP = JPY 8715
XBA-2iP = JPY 19635
XBA-3iP = JPY 25935
XBA-4iP = JPY 32235

XBA-S65 = JPY 8715
XBA-BT75 = JPY 24675
XBA-NC85D = JPY 43050

Hmm, the prices seem pretty decent, but I still don't understand the huge price difference between the XBA-1 and XBA-2. It would be awesome if the XBA-2 was a bit cheaper, say around JPY 15000, then I would definitely buy it once it hits the shelves. For now though, I seem more interested in saving up money for the XBA-3

@ Fizban - I meant these will sound better than the SE535, imho the SE535 is ultimately a "stage monitor" sounding IEM and these will be Hi-Fi sounding IEM'

@ D3athangel - I think the XBA-1 is "cheap" to get the non audio geeks "into the game" at a price which in their eyes is already expensive.

Anyway I hope I can demo these at a Sonystyle store so I know which one to buy.
