I would have though if Tool was going to release the live DVD album something would be updated on tool shed fan page. I check it from time to time and there isn't any updates. There was talk about the live DVD and one of the last shows I went to they were recording it. But as of my knowledge there no talk about when and if they are releasing it.

Bi-aural recordings use two microphones placed inside of the ear canal of a dummy head. When you play it back wearing headphones it simulates actually being there, so you get a very realistic 3D effect. Unfortunately no one uses them because they only work using headphones, but its something I keep hoping some band will try out. I had a recording that i found here but have lost it. You can do a search for "bi-aural" to try and find it, or if someone can re-host/link it that would also be good.
