the si5 quotes 15 in the website, and it will do nearly that. it does not distort almost at all until about 5.5 watts though. then it starts to distort very quickly up to around 15 watts output. i only count power in "class a" type operation, for my own reference, whatever that means. so 35 might be stretching it too, but it probably does in fact have more power. what i would be interested to see is if the teac is as clean as the si5.

Well I think that I have decided to get the Onix Rocket RS550s. The only thing that I am not sure about yet is the amp.

I need something that will either plug into my preamp or have its own bass/trable knobs. I only need two channel but I may add a powered sub later on. I would like to keep the price at about $300 not much over that. ANy other recomendations?
