So what is the install procedure for this? Does it have to go in a specific folder? The application gui loads up but it doesn't appear to be working.
I'm using the basic slider version of the gui.

Its been a while since I've tinkered with this but you definitely need EqualizerAPO installed for this application to work.  You basically use it to create a set of parametric EQ that is meant to go into the config.txt file found in where you install EqualizerAPO.  You do this by editing peqgui10mc.ini so that it writes over said config.txt file in real time.  
 
Remember that EqualizerAPO has to be activated through Sound -> Double click on your sound output -> Click on Enhancements -> Untick "Disable all Enhancements".  You can also disable the EQ by ticking "Disable all Enhancements", letting you do AB tests easily.
