1/4 and 1/8 plug. is there a different in sound?

I think it has to ultimately come down to your own equipment as to what you use hey, audible differences (imo) are minimal and insignificant. For me, a 1/8" is the go as I use home and portable gear. I'd rather use a 1/8 to 1/4 adaptor in the home amp than a 1/4 to 1/8 cable/adaptor in the portable......

Ultimately I think that the 2x mono means balanced right? 2 plugs for 1 phone. That is balanced so obviously there would be less crosstalk right? Or am I offbase?

It is unfair to compare a 1/8 to a balanced phone based purely on left to right bias. As one is intended to separate truly right and left audio.

yeah, this test is flawed as it's comparing 2 different outputs I think...we'd need a test w/ the same input/outputs and a 1/4" against a 1/8"+1/4" adapter
