Just upgraded from a 128 GB SanDisk Ultra Plus to a 240 GB Kingston SSDNow V300. It looks like the Kingston has mostly better write speed but worse read speed than the SanDisk.

The kingston  v300 is known to be a terrible SSD, once the good scores were put up they swapped NAND to crappy NAND without telling anyone when they put into the retail chain

Yeah, something about asynchronous and sychronous NAND. I'm not feeling any performance hit though, and it was more for the purpose of upsizing than upgrading because I was running out of space on my old drive. I just bought a cheap-ish 240 GB SSD and called it a day.

I see.
Well, I fell into the SSD upgrading trap and at first I went from a 128 (Plextor M5S) to 240GB (Intel 530) in december 2014 and later last year in August I bought 2 OCZ Vertex 460A 240GB then added 2x Samsung SM843T 240GB ...

And it got worse. in 2016, I added a OCZ Vector 180 480GB and Zotac SSD Premium 480GB before I even used the 4 SSDs above so now they're in a box lol

How are OCZ drives these days? Weren't they not very reliable at some point in time?

Were.

Toshiba is doing a very good job and if they ever let you down again in selected countries (and it includes my country) they will go to your residence and pick it up from you. And it doesn't matter where you buy them from
