I wonder if anyone at HeadFi has heard of this interesting and affordable ($39.99) M4 IEM from a company called ADV.Sound. At a glance, it truly reminds me of the HifiMan RE400 but the M4 cables looks way better. Here's the link to ADV.Sound M4: http://www.adv-sound.com/product/m4

To me, they remind me more of the Wi...

Though this graph if representative of the actual sound...

...means I wouldn't be the guinea pig, lol! That plus the 770C isn't a good match for my taste.

Yes, it sure looks like the Wi...I wonder if they're actually from the same factory. I never trust the graphs on the box but it'd be nice to know how it sounds like from those who's already owned it.

Hmmm, interesting review...

" Coming from Flare Audio's R2Pro last week, which has one of the worst cables of all time, this thing was a godsend."

Oddly seems to counteract that treble slant they hint at with the shopped graph. Not much treble and the imaging and depth width comments kinda lose me there if true/not fixable.

Thanks for the link to the review jant71. Very interesting indeed, maybe the reviewer was on comply tips that tend to attenuate the highs. Perhaps it might sound different with the silicone tips

Small phones can certainly provide fit problems as well esp. with regards to occlusion. A braided cable, talk of being detail oriented and that graph hint at a more balanced phone with a more healthy amount of treble. The pic in the review with the Comply on shows, with the overall length, they have a great chance of occluding and losing their treble if a person tries to insert them deeply enough.

I can easily see a problem with user error. I would go with shorter tips, wide bore and push them in only as far as to get the right seal. Too deep a fit and the stage will shrink in height and width anyhow regardless of any other problems. Like the cable impressions but I also don't hold too much weight in the sound signature impression.  Jury is still out on these:)

Hello, my name is Peter. I stumbled upon this thread and wanted to chime in on this as I'm the one behind ADV.SOUND.  We are currently not selling the products as we weren't able to commit to mass production of the phones yet.  We've got initial pre-launch samples circulating among audiophile reviewers, local musicians and sound houses in NY to gather interest and feedback - and we are looking to reach out to Kickstarter in mid-September in hopes to be able to bring the product out into the market.

I appreciate your interest and I hope to be able to answer any questions.  I've been a lurker here for few years and I understand I'm with a tough crowd.  Please go easy on me :)

Just backed. I was in the market for this type of IEM and decided to give it a shot. Excited to hear them!
