So I've just discovered the virtual KVM switch programs like Synergy and Mouse Without Borders (free but only for windows).

Works just like magic, you can even drag and drop files across one desktop to another. I was gonna buy another monitor or two but now I can just use the spare laptops I have lying around.

  Belated birthday wishes

Hah thanks. ^^

Grrr been on the lookout for a cheap monitor that can go into portrait, there's the Dell P2017H but can I reeeeally buy a 19.5" 1600x900 monitor in 2017...it's $130 which is pretty cheap and it is IPS..hmm.

I think I should camp out for something 16:10, the extra real estate is important for portrait mode....then again that's pretty rare these days and it might set me back another $50 or so (or more?). Monitors are used for years and years though....gah I give up.

I celebrate moon rotation around the earth instead of earth rotation around the sun. but it's really hard to get people to come to all my birthdays and offer me presents.

Head fi ads want me to find a gf now, damn algorithms that find ads based on my internet history.

LOL I'm just getting head-fi's built-in audiophile ads

Whoever is in charge of this UX + UI redesign needs to be fired.

That's what everyone says when you force changes on them.... that said, I don't like it either. I want my WYSIWYG / HTML editor back....

Does anyone else have a broken breadcrumbs bar?

EDIT: it's not broken now..... hmm... ninja fix?
EDIT2: Ohh I get it now... it only breaks when you have the #post-<post-id> bit in the URL.

I mean this is just bad design though. I thought the old platform could have used some slight cleaning up on the visual side and some framework changes to make things feel more fluid but this new platform is completely cluttered in comparison. Full length sponsor ad on the right side, random really busy JH Audio ad that you'll see pretty often when typing replies, title photo and top bar ad that looks like some psychedelic dream. Readability feels pretty awful now.

The one thing I will say is better is the quote insert/management system.

Looks like the bottom reply box also auto-adjusts in size? Although editing posts requires you to go to the dedicated edit page instead of just on-page/in-line.

I like the letterboxed black panels on the sides of the website.

Also, images are either "thumbnail" or "full image" sizes.

Urgh, I can't use CTRL+Enter to submit a reply...nor is there a cancel button if I don't want to reply.

There's also no recent photos carousel...

I like this one though. From the top of the webpage, I can see like 1/3 of the first post of the thread.
