Classic Chrysler. Do you really need to come up with some stupid name for a radio??

My dad's got a '49 chrysler and the radio system was marketed as "Mello Tone"

The expression on his face is hilarious, almost like he's controlling laughter rather than enjoying music.

I think that's a Playboy he's holding.

My speaker setup, in its rough form last year. It has since been moved and is much better situated. Magnepan Tympani I-D, with audioresearch SP3 preamp. The speakers are about 7' x 4', with three planar panels, one tweeter and two bass/mid. Magnepan is still in business, though the speakers look slightly more normal today.

Also, Andrew Bird still uses horns to amplify his guitars.

Love the Klipschorns, which I had the room for them. I have the La Scalas & Heresy pictured...great speakers! Not weird at all!

Anyone in love with retro hifi will be happy to know that a friend of mine has acquired the JBL and Altec brand new / replacement parts inventory from the 50's and 60's and will be replicating similar designs. In a couple months I'll have a big write up on it.

That's really groovy man. I mean who would not dig an update to a classic Altec.
