General Information

The Urbanears Zinken is a noise-isolating head-phone (Black) designed with performance and durability. The new TurnCable feature allows you to swap between a 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm plug. It also contains the Zoundplug feature, which allows instant music sharing-and comes equipped with a microphone and remote compatible with the iPhone, Blackberry, HTC and other mobile devices. Besides these features, the Zinken is also collapsible for easy minimal storage.

In so many ways our flagship Urbanears are the antithesis of all that is Head-Fi. They are a bass heavy sound signature which look really cool but are muddy and woolly in the end. Interestingly this seems to be a headphone I actually liked in the beginning but ended not finding detailed enough. They get amazingly loud, are very responsive to signal. I may try to continue to try and get a better sound from modification, or ......maybe not?

They are priced out there anywhere from $25-$175. The headphones made for women.

Honestly, they do the job they need to. That threshold was designed for DJ applications, specifically live set monitoring. In a situation like that, a large amount of bass bleed (Massive mid-bass hump) is necessary to properly sync tracks off hand.
