Budget 4N OCC litz IEM cables from NiceHCK
Pros: Cheap don't mean cheap quality. Very good copper properties with good transparency, retaining detail and imaging with smoothness and musicality from pure copper. Just as good as cables that cost much more. Thin lighter 4 core cables, soft w bendable ear guides. Good build and function.
Cons: Aluminum alloy accessories on the cables look a bit budget, but not a real con.

Copper cables are as basic as it comes for the sound enthusiasts. Copper gives you that warmth and musicality that we love to hear from our music. When attached to a nice resolving earphone that copper brings about a switch to a more natural sound that many will gravitate towards.

My report here is about the newest IEM cables from the cable makers at NiceHCK. They have provided some samples for review and I will go over the details of why I feel these cables are a good product. You can get more information about the new LitzOCC here.

It is no secret that your included cables that come with most earphones are not the best. If they were, your earphones would cost you more. This serves dual purposes. For one your average throw in cable will be cost effective meaning most manufacturers will not put in a higher end cable with your earphones. I do notice generally that the higher the price bracket of earphone you buy, the better cable it should come with. I say should but I have had some that are just down right not good for paying a premium price. But that is not the point of this review. In any case, that higher price does take in the account what cables and accessories are included.

The other aspect is that a lot of these manufacturers actually sell a nicer cable separately. Leaving it up to the owner of the new said product to throw down even more of your hard earned cash on what you need for a cable upgrade. Why throw in a premium cable if they throw in such a poor cable that you're forced to buy a different one is the point. Unfortunately this is more evident the cheaper the earphones.

Most included cables are in the “good enough.” category of cables and I can’t tell you just how many of these cables are collecting dust in my own collection. There is an ever increasing market for the aftermarket cable and there are clearly different levels of cables we are talking about here that you can purchase. I will be the first to tell you marketing claims on most cables are a bit out there but truth is in how they perform vs how much they cost

Most of the included cables with earphones don’t come in balanced where many of the newer DAPs clearly utilize. So here is where manufacturers like NiceHCK have a business selling the aftermarket upgraded cable. Their newest product is the tried and true Litz copper cable in the 4N OCC configuration in 4 cores. Touted as a cable material from the highly regarded in the cable industry, from Taiwan. Again I have no way of finding out where the materials come from but as a consumer of such goods I do care about the quality of the product.

These are considered a budget cable with the prices being lower than $20 spot. Budget label aside, are these worth the little investment to buy a set for your earphones? In IEM cable land the price of these cables is mere chump change but are you getting an actual quality product when it comes to what you're getting? The answer to that is a resounding yes. These cables are a bargain and I can say that as cables of this quality just simply have not existed previously. I own cables that cost a small fortune and I can say these cables perform in function and form just as good but for substantially cheaper. If that is not what value means I don’t what is.

The build quality of the LitzOCC is solid with the connectors, splitter, and terminations are decidedly budget looking. You can’t expect premium looking/materials for accessories on a sub $20 cable but let's just say these aspects are functionable. What matters here is how the cables work.

Using a higher resolving monitor NF audios NM2+. Which has a sound foundation of detail and imaging. I like to pair copper cables with such monitors and the LitzOCC was indeed a good match.

Sonic flavoring I like to call it from the LitzOCC are as follows. First aspect noticed was the NM2+ doesn't sound as bright when using the stock SPC cable. Tonality wise the NM2+ now sounds more natural using the LitzOCC. Vocals sounds smoother, a bit more fuller sounding. The immense detail of the monitors are kept in check. These cables do not neuter that great detail of the NM2+ and that was a huge win. Bass sounds a touch more impactful. Treble sounds slightly more smoother vs sounding a touch edgy using the stock cable. To my ears the LitzOCC makes the NM2+ sound leaning more organic and less edgy. The included cables are a higher quality Litz OFC type cable made specifically for the NM2+ to enhance detail and separation. The more natural tonality of the NM2+ using the LitzOCC has me realizing they should have gone with a copper cable instead of going for maximum detail using the stock cable. Just my opinion but I do prefer copper cables on the NM2+.

On the Tansio Mirai TSMR-4pro. Which is an 4 Knowles BA monitor with a lot of detail and here the TSMR-4 sonic edginess is again curbed a bit with the attachment of the LitzOCC, while retaining all the detail of the earphones. What I appreciate about this particular cable is that it is a light thinner 4 core cable so not weighty or bulky in any way. The sound quality of the monitor is very transparent using this cable and it shows a higher resolving capability that much higher end copper cable portrays.

As all good copper cables does bass has the best impact and extension. Mids smoother more natural in sonic reproduction, Treble sounds cleaner vs being edgy. Gives BA treble some much needed roundness. LitzOCC shows consistency in how it performs with all earphones it is attached to.

Bottom line NiceHCK has surprised me once again with a budget offering that is an excellent value for such little money, these cables are proof positive just because something is cheap doesn’t mean it has to be cheap in quality. Sure you're getting the cable in bulk packaging in a little plastic bag but hey they are solid cables with everything you love about a good copper cable. If you are on a budget and would like some copper goodness to add some musicality to your edgy sounding monitors the LitzOCC is more than a good deal. They are a steal at the price NiceHCK is asking for a set sent to your door. Highly recommended for fellow enthusiasts that like to tinker with different cables for the absolute best optimal sound.
