Mcdodo Lightning to Audio Cable (for iPhone 7) w/ charging function

I was looking for a solution to simultaneously listen and charge an iPhone7, since Apple decided to ditch the 3.5 mm jack output.  This one, which I got on Aliexpress, does the job. Soundwise, it performs well. Not better than the original Apple cable, just different. A tad more volume and a tendency to overemphasize the mids. But then again, soundstage remains good, no distortion. Very curious about the DAC that's been used. My unit had the left and right channel switched, however.... 
 
Build quality is reasonable at best especially the switches and volume buttons look crooked and the plastic attachment had a small gap.  Compared to the Apple cable it is quite bulky, which makes it harder to use on the road. For home use, it is the best solution (yet) to listen and charge at the same time, so all in all I'm quite satisfied, especially given the price (€12,94). 
 
Tested with Bowers & Wilkins P3, Philips Fidelio M1MKIIWT, using VOX app (FLAC/AIFF).
