Thanks for the mention, but I think you pasted the wrong link there.

@Poganin Thanks for letting me know. Yesterday I had a nightmare with the BBCode editing, because I wanted the links to have a very specific color that I chose... and I think that I pasted the other link to make it easier for editing, but forgot to switch it out for the correct link. Now everything should be fine, I added the correct link.

If anyone else notices any errors or mistakes, let me know.

This Concludes the 3Max nicely

It’s fascinating to see iBasso’s products always, I repeat, always being compared to products at least twice their price. DX300 MAX gets to compared to the top dogs (Sony DMP-Z1 — $8499, Luxury & Precision LP6Ti — $5790, Shanling M30 — $3599). In reality, DX300 MAX stands in its own lane, with no true direct competition. The form factor, the software, the power, the portability, the price — there is nothing alike it on the market. If I may say, it’s a “one-off” package. Of course, when it comes to audio performance, the comparison branch widens

Ibasso products are special with both price/performances to be unbelievably Affordable , some people may judge a products from it MSRP points, and those may overlook Ibasso products. All I can say is that, if this is your real hobby, you should look into Ibasso, and if it is just an excuse to spend money, then be my guess, spend it far and away

@rocketron Thank you! That's a very big compliment. It truly means a lot. I put my heart and soles into these full-length reviews, and to hear something like this. Just wow.
You should check out some of my other full-length reviews, I think you'd like them. I recommend the iBasso SR2 review (my favorite), Kaldas Research RR1 review, and Ollo Audio S4 review (if you are into analytical and scientific articles)

This has to be the most detailed and thoroughly written review over a hi fi product I have ever seen 😮
Setting the bar high phrase doesn't even apply here, - more like taking the bar and now you own the sh. out of it xD
Amazing work @voja !

@NaittsirK Thank you! Once again, very big compliments. It. Means. A. Lot.

I'm getting an overwhelming amount of compliments. I truly appreciate every single one of you. You are what gives me the drive to keep on writing these.

With each one of these full-length reviews, I am trying to outwrite myself (not necessarily in quantity, but rather quality). My goal is to give it all I've got. As an author, I want to keep outdoing myself, keep putting out better, higher quality articles. I am a progress junkie with no shame

Great review! I agree exactly what you said, "MAX series is iBasso’s state-of-the-art, no boundaries, no limitations — all out series."..

This unit is a beast, and will remain one of best, if not the best DAP.
Most all the other top DAPs, are "one trick ponys", unlike this iBasso.
Soundstage depth, height, width, holography, detail, & realism is all at higher level than current top competitors.
3Max encased in a real quality metal body, not like the competition in some cheap aluminum or plastic. 👍

@Maxx134 that's the iBasso way. They have their way of doing things, and that's why we love iBasso

Thanks!

Great review!
Just one remark about SoC: “Holding it all together is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC (system on a chip) with 128GB of internal storage, 6GB of LPDDR4X-3733 RAM that operates at a frequency of 1866 MHz, an octa-core 14nm processor (four Kryo 260 Silver cores operating at 1.84 GHz and four Kryo 260 Gold cores operating at 2.2 GHz), and a Adreno 512 integrated GPU.”

Memory and CPU clocks in MAX3 capped to lower values. You can check with CPU-Z.

@behemothkat Thank you for letting me know.

I've planned to use benchmark software & tools for this review, but didn't get around to it.

I'll make sure to fact check that aspect for future reviews.
