New Head-Fier
Big Boy Bass
Pros: Fat well textured bass response
Fantastic sub Bass with a nice bass shelf
Clear open mids
Vocals sound great
Midrange detail is really nice imo
Isolation
Comfort
Accessories are nice and the stock tips are great (sound great with other iems too)
Cons: Comfort to some may be as issue as the nozzle is quite wide on these
Detail while good to my ears could've been a touch better at this 300 USD price point
Packaging

To me packaging...I don't really care for it, it comes in a basic brown box or some fancy box. To me I like accessories and of course the iem itself. Don't we all.

Unboxing experience overall is good lol

Here are some photos of the box, case and iem itself

The cable & faceplate of the iem is gorgeous, the craftsmanship here is extremely nice. I'm a sucker for eye popping IEMs and these will suit anyone who loves a gorgeous IEM

Sound
These imo are simply amazing sounding iems to my ears. Balanced, open sounding and fatigue Free

Bass
The bass here is very good, this iem has a proper bass shelf and you'll really feel and hear when the sun starts subbin. The texture here is fantastic and has that type of bass where it just spreads & blends with any music you listen to. Yeah it's that good and for 300 bucks It's great if you're a basshead

Mids
Mids are clear, transparent and vocals sound really good. Both male & female vocals have nice heft & weight to them, simply put they sound full. Timbre here is great, everything sounds correct.

Treble
Treble to my ears is tuned to sound like an EST. You're probably asking What does this even mean but lemme try & explain. EST drivers usually sound very clear, snappy extend well. This kind of has that slightly brightish clearly type of treble.

Hard to explain Ik lol but overall the treble is tuned quite nice although I don't think it's as good compared the bass & mids.

Isolation
Isolation is top notch. Although keep in mind it'll pick up the wind pretty easily if we'll it's windy and you have shallow tips

Ah, well, different strokes, as they say. I've just decided to sell my Hype2 after spending time with Canon 2. We hear the Hype2 midband completely differently. I hear the Hype2, compared to the Canon 2, or EJ07m, or Olina Se, even Hexa, as recessed, stepped back on the stage, veiled. A departure from the tuning of the Oracle, which shined in the mids.

As for the comfort, you mention the nizzle size. That wasn't an issue for me, but the size of the shell was. Even before hearing the Canon 2, I had decided to sell the Hype2 because after an hour or so, the bottom inner part of my ear was getting sore... that big shell was pressin hard against my ear. Turns out the Hype2 is about 33% larger than the Canon 2, which fit me quite comfortably.

New Head-Fier
Smooth Operator
Pros: Great bass
Mid-bass is well textured & doesn't bloat or bleed into the mids
Very detailed and natural sounding mids
Lush/Natural Vocals
Imaging & Soundstage
Beautiful Resin Shell
Awesome looking case
Cons: Somewhere in its treble, it can get weird peaks with certain songs.
Cable although really nice looking and looks very premium unfortunately gets stiff and finicky over time
Sounds better with wider eartips (to me but this is a nitpick)
Packaging & Accessories

The box art is really really nice. I'm not someone to really care for box art nor presentation but I can't lie this unboxing experience is very pleasant.

Comes with a black box with pretty good stock eartips although there's not many different sizes with the eartips. There mostly bigger eartipsso someone with small ears may need to tip roll. (I apologize I didn't take a pic)

The case is extremely nice and very premium looking & feeling. It's a pretty big case with a big mesh compartment on this inside. You can essentially Carry any iem with extra tips, qudelix and a bunch of accessories in here and have a do it all case. Really well done from kinera imo.

Build & Design & Comfort

The shell is very very eye catching and its simply gorgeous. We all know kinera makes very nice designs for there iems but I feel like they didn't really bring all that effort to there sister brand. Not saying that in a rude way but I felt as if they weren't as nice looking...until now!

Isolation is very good on these and luckily they aren't too tip dependent and you should get a good seal everytime. You won't hear voices and low frequency sounds get blocked out nearly completely. All in all they're ****kn comfortable

Sound Quality
Ok so this iem is a very different sounding iem imo, it's not the typical Harman sounding chifi iem at least to me.

Bass is well done on this set to my ears the sub bass while present doesn't overpower the bass but that doesn't mean with the sub is bad of weak by any means, it just needs a decent source and of course a good fit. When powered nicely the sub can hit real low and isn't one note sounding so stuff like rap music and edm is a real joy. Overall the sub is satisfying although it can lack a bit of Detail at times compared to its midbass
Midbass is super well done, it's textured, punchy, and has great control. Simply put it's very very good midbass

Mids
Mids are the star of the show. The vocals are very very natural sounding and the note weight is amazing. Both male and female vocals are perfectly balanced to me and this midrange is very very addicting. Instruments again have a crazy good timbre and the note weight is fantastic You will hear a lot of notes that you've never heard before with these, the mids regardless of price range is nearly S tier.

Treble
This is where it can get a little less correct sounding, while it's still GOOD it's not great like it's midrange. Some songs I found it to get weird peaks with certain eartips and some songs. Not sure where this flaw is in its FR but just keep in mind it can show up on some poorly recorded songs or very bright
songs. But of course we live in a world where EQ exists so yeah you're chillin

Overall I find this to be a nearly fantastic iem. It's midrange is super detailed and natural. Bass again is well done with a great sub and midbass that really punches above its price. for 200 bucks (USD) this is a great offering from kinera and I can see this set pleasing many audio nutjobs like myself.

New Head-Fier
Baby Variations?
Pros: Excellent Bass Response
Clean & Clear Mids
Great Detail Retrieval
Soundstage Is Well Rounded
Build Quality & Design (Mirror Like Finish)
DSP Cable !
Really Nice Synth Leather Case That Accommodates The IEM's Nicely
Cons: Treble While Clear Can Get a touch Shrilly If You Crank Up The Volume Too High (we're talking almost unlistineable volumes here)
Honestly I Can't Think Of Much At This Price.

Packaging & Accessories

For me I never really cared if the iem came in a brown box or some waifu box, to me Its all about how they SOUND and if they're comfortable. But...admittedly I do enjoy a nice unpacking experience

As you can see the box art is quite nice and almost looks like your buying a toy that can only be found overseas. The accessories are very nice imo, the case is of great quality and guess what the iems ACTUALLY fit in the case!! No way right ? No YES WAY!!

Sadly the eartips included were not designed (just an assumption) to accommodate these iems. The nozzle is quite wide on these and the eartips are meant for there other iems, not the may lol. So tip rolling is definitely a must with these!

Build Quality & Design/Isolation

This set is a very sharp looking iem and the photos online simply don't do it justice. The iems have a really nice mirror like finish and literally reflect anything. If you wear iems in public like myself, expect people to mindlessly stare at your ears 🤣 but all jokes aside there really gorgeous IMO and will attract a lot of attention so if you're an attention seeker. Look no further

Isolation is good on this set although it won't be a kinera like Isolation. It has a semi ergo design and I found wider eartips to isolate better since these don't go as far in your ears (moondrop variations for ex they're LOOOOOOONG)

Sound Quality

Bass
Now when it comes to sound it's obviously very opiniated. Many may like these and many may not. It's the hobby in a nutshell. The bass is extremely well done and reminds me a lot like the variations woth better sub note extension compared to the variations It's articulate and is well textured. The sub can reach really low and you can hear & feel the lower sub notes in your music. All in all its not single noted sounding if that makes sense. The impact and slam is f-ing insane at this price point, I've never heard an iem under 200 that has this quality of bass I mean it punches wayyy above its asking price point and with tips that add bass these can become a mild basshead like set. My song of choice for this iem to test the bass was Drive The Boat by Pop Smoke and I can safely say they exceeded my expectations.

Midrange
The Mids remind me a lot of the variations but if I'm being honest it's better, there's no thin male vocals/lower mids, no weird S,F,P sounds when an artist is singing(to me the variations had a wonky mid range when it came to certain words in a song (ik sounds dumb but ik what I was hearing lol). The lower mids has a nice heft to male vocals although female vocals will take a slight prioritization in the midrange. But don't worry the balance is very well done and you'll be satisfied listening to either female or male vocals.

Treble
This is where moondrop kinda had to make a sacrifice. Now I don't mean to word it like that as it it's gonna make it seem like it's bad because no the Treble to me is really good on this set. It's just ONLY at very high volumes I guess maybe the DSP cable pushes the Treble forward a bit and at higher volumes it doesn't play as cleanly.

Sorry I got ahead of myself but the Treble listening at normal volumes and with a clean source is quite great to my ears. It's very clear, detailed and "airy" sounding. Just don't put the volume on 9999999999 and you'll be chilling

DSP Cable
You're probably wondering why the hell i made this part of the reivew but just hear me out real quick. Yes it can be used on other iems and some will pair well with them and some will sound worse. It's fun to experiment with a lot of different iems

Overall I think this is a fantastic iem. I'm not even someone who goes crazy for moondrop I mean I like them but I don't hold any bias or favoritism to a company just because of a waifu box or whatever gets people clinging to companies. But this set right here is truly a great set from them and I'd say this should be an instacop for any iem enthusiast out there. It's that good IMO!

just wanted to apologize if many don't like this review as it is my first time and yeah I suck 😭
