New Head-Fier
Pros: clear sound, cheap
Cons: comfort, cord, unipivot
I cannot recommend these headphones.  When shopping for some replacement phones a couple years ago, I had the name Sennheiser on the mind.  I had read lots of great things about the company and their headphones.  So when I went to Future Shop to look for a replacement, I saw the HD-202s priced at about $80, and they looked alright, so I picked them up.

I have never hated a pair of headphones so much!  While the sound is clear and decent, it's certainly not a high end sound.  It's flat and boring, no life/air, no dynamics to speak of.  Bass is weak.  On the other hand they go fairly loud with no distortion, so they were great for bus rides.

On the comfort side of things, the cups are on a unipivot mount, and it just feels sloppy when on my head, won't stay put.  The clamp is very tight and uncomfortable, I assume this is to counteract the wobbliness of the unipivot cup but it doesn't work.  The headphones are both uncomfortable and unsecure when on the head.

Then the cable, it's flimsy and very prone to tangles.  BUT, the phones were 80 bucks so take all that how you will.

My god, $80? That sucks man... You could try putting the headphones between some books so the clamping force can get less tighter. I did that to my brothers HD 202 and they got allot more comfortable. Also the strain relief on the cable entry of both cups is very stiff, try to protect it somehow. (Maybe by putting heatshrink on it but you would have to disassemble both cups)

I got them about 2 years ago, and stuff retails for more in Canada. I'm not ranting about the purchase just laying down my opinion on these phones... I don't like them.

New Head-Fier
Pros: excellent isolation, wide soundstage, airy sound
Cons: fixed tonearm, proper adjustment is cumbersome
I bought this table about two years ago and I pretty much have nothing but good things to say about it.  It sounds *excellent*.  The unique proprietary twin-pipe tonearm provides for excellent channel separation which results in a huge, wide soundstage.  The suspension of the table provides excellent isolation from room vibrations, I can pound on the surface the table sits on and hear no more than the faintest echo through the speakers.  The tonearm design also has an excellent tracking ability due to being dynamically balanced.

I purchased this table for $800 CAD locally, and when compared to NEW options in the 800 range, I felt that this table really stood head and shoulders above the other offerings.  This review sold me on the table, and I largely agree with it: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43726

Only reason I replaced this table in my main system is because the the dynamic tracking force feature broke, and the tonearm is irreplaceable without a parts table (which at the tables current pricepoint makes for one expensive arm).
