Head-Fier
Ath-ar3 information
Pros: Professionally eye pleasing and felt it, for me, initially. As any headphone it provides a new sound.
Cons: comfort, unprofessional sound.
couldn't find the ar3 placard when navigating head fi so I'll post it here, for the sake of well, information and though am not a noob in audio recollection but for the exact opposite reason I'll be posting incompletely and in a very limited potential.

Bass is like listening from outside a closed car with subwofers as such, disjointed. Maybe if i tried to eq bass from sub bass to upper i would do better, atm. Someone here or somewhere said you don't lose bass when listening at low volume! but that's granted if it's gna be a flawed or too strong bass at high volumes which he didn't mention as a flip side, but am gna mention it was "dynamic" at first impression there, atleast he was right. Reminds me of that 99$ american woodie iem that i promptly gave away, most terrible fatiguing bass and rounded low midrange like this one actually. 🤔

Midrange or before that i think there might be a dip which might be in part responsible for their bassy ambitions which is an epic fail, instead of letting it be a naturally slow bass like m50(all the more inline and satisfying). seems it's a others v shape, not at's which might keep the midrange flat till treble which might be slightly higher as i perceive it, now the driver might seem more apt here and indicates more the failure of at tuner and few other someones that promised me a bright sound which i longed from at which is the upper midrange, low treble bright and not the offensive treble that comes after. In all fairness I could possible say it's transparent as best it can, decently hd, deep perhaps bigger, refined, fast, articulate, not sweet, or do i want to say minimally? These might interchange with treble.

Treble is what makes the sound sound thin from the beginning for me, not sharp as such, which is a disappointment for me in not only at but someone who would simpletonly say the sound is inferior to m50 which it aint for the average people as it's mostly not satisfying or engaging and with an upfront sound that i expected rather it's further articulated to a point the m50's of this world can only dream of cause simply there are 2 general types of tuning like that and this one is the case of instruments and voices cross talk or speak at once, that if you hold the cups further from your ears you'll hear more detail than if you had them on, like speakers basically and not the at mknows better and how god intended for headphones smh

Also initially and i guess par for the course i found it has a negative quality of bad cup design you would think like ..idk, take your chances if you dare but not if you wna keep it for half an hour if you should also value your ear cartillage. And am very tolerant about anything other than sound quality.

Oh and i found it best for watching t.v. shows movies etc it really brought a new dimension with them for me and a good task for it.

Not music as that is like a blunted ice pick, go low you'd want more go high the pain stops you before being satisfying and distorty, yikes. Though low is perfect for tv i guess, huh, maybe that's what they made them for. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️.. even thou i gave them the respect of playing music with them first, it's the third at i bought this year and very comparable to the lowest priced ones. :) till the next one!

You get nice little cups in person with the pads i would guess Slightly softer than the original m50.
