100+ Head-Fier
Pros: Roomy soundstage, great comfort, and good detail.
Cons: Inconsistant sounding depending on album. Need "phat pad" mod for comfort. Pads erode over time. Little bass impact.
Excellent soundstage for games, but lack some lower-end bass impact.  They are a bargin for their price, but there are better alternatives for 'musical' cans.

Pros: Lively and involving. Good for any genre. Great for female vocals
Cons: Muddy bass. Highs rolloff a little early. Not the best musical detail.
Great for any genre you can through at it, they would suit a starter really well.  I overpaid for mine.  If you are interested in these, you are better off buying the HD555's and doing the foam mod (same drivers).  The soundstage mod greatly enhanced the airyness to them and I highly recommend it.  They sound great with electronic and rock, but lack some detail compared to other cans in this price range.

Pros: Clarity and detail at its pricepoint. Moddibility.
Cons: Emphasized mid-bass. Small soundstage. Uncomfortable pads.
My first set of 'real' cans.  It transformed my music library over just a few weeks.  The texture and detail are the best I have heard for their price, and the best I have ever owned.  While not good at electronic, acoustic, rock, and metal sounded fantastic.

I unfortunately killed a driver while performing my 900th mod.  I miss them.  Hopefully I will own them again one day.

Indeed one of my old time favorites.
Grado charges like $30 to repare/replace the driver btw
