The Hidizs MS1-Galaxy is an entry-level IEM that has recently received a lot of positive reviews for its price-to-performance, and finally today I have a chance to test it myself and express my honest opinion on this highly anticipated well-performing budget IEM. After generations of MS1 models, Hidizs has finally decided to implement its Hi-Fi level materials and technology, improving the overall sound performance while maintaining its low price.

20240223_181745.jpg

Packaging/Design:
The small packaging comes with a pair of the IEM itself, together with 3 pairs of ear tips with different sizes for comfortable fit, a two-stranded high-purity silver-plated copper wire (1.2m length), a Waifu photocopy and a warranty card & user manual. Its customized 10.2mm Dual Magnetic Circuit Dynamic Driver PU+PEEK composite high-polymer diaphragm is the main highlight as it improves the magnetic flux and conversion efficiency, resulting in a better detailed expression. The IEM outer shell is build using high-density Germany's Makrolon resin, however it feels just like the usual plastic shell, yet it allows comfortable and longer fitting in my ear without causing stress. The IEM itself is extremely lightweight and I don't feel anything wearing it.

Sound Performance:
After testing the Hidizs MS1-Galaxy for some time, it is safe to say that this product is a very good entry-level IEM designed and built for those who are new to the Hi-Fi world without breaking your bank. It's fun and warm V-style tuning will definitely impress the bass head especially for its strong and powerful bass production, however there's some slight bass bloat. Its soundstage is one of the widest among other competitors at this price range. Male vocals are thick, warm, full and overall great, you'll definitely be impressed by how good its mid-bass performs. However for female vocals are thin, hollow and recessed, which Hidizs could improve for the upcoming models. The treble has enough energy to be noticed and instrumentals sound natural, however there are some slight muddiness and clarity issues. At this price range, it lacks airiness which is quite normal yet still acceptable.

20240223_181642.jpg

Conclusion:
Rather than using the earphones that comes along with most smartphone packages, using Hidizs MS1-Galaxy would obviously be a better choice here as it is overall a good performing and aesthetical product especially for Hi-Fi beginners without breaking the bank, pricing at just $16 during promotions. Consider upgrading to Hidizs higher tiered products such as MS2 or above if you seek for better bass and treble performance. Give it a try and you won't regret it!

KB Ear is a well-known 'Chifi' audiophile brand that needs no introduction. Recently, they decided to release a new pair of shiny KB Ear Qinglong, where Qinglong (青龙) in chinese basically means 'Green Dragon', probably named after its sound signature frequency curve graph which looks similarly to a dragon.

1670552760410.png

Packaging/Design:
For the packaging, it comes with a pair of Qinglong, followed by 2 types of eartips (wide and narrow core), a 4N 5C Silver Plated Copper Cable (looks & feels premium), a good quality leather case, wiping cloth (to wipe away the fingerprints due to ultra shiny surface) and a bursh to clean the IEM. The driver configuration is made up of a 10mm PU + PEEK composite diaphragm which performs flawlessly. The overall size of the unit is medium and can fit perfectly and comfortably in my ear during my testing phase, not causing any pressure or pain.

Specification:
Brand: KBEar
Model: Qinglong
FR Range: 20-40 kHz
Sensitivity: 108 db @1kHz

Kbear3.jpg

Sound Performance:
The KB Ear Qinglong's driver is made up of a 10mm HD double-layer PU + PEEK composite diaphragm, which renders balanced, natural and reminiscent sound. Its voice coil uses the DAIKOKU copper wire with ultra high tension and it uses N52 NdFeB strong magnet, resulting in a more powerful, stronger and dynamic sound. From my testing experience, the overall sound signature is well-balanced V-shaped tuning. The bass produced is quite acceptable and considered thick and average, meanwhile its midrange and vocal is pretty clear, neutral, cohesive and detailed, allowing users to listen to music with various genres comfortably. The highs are warm, bright and thick, while the soundstage is not very wide.

Conclusion:
KB Ear did a great job in producing the Qinglong with an aesthetically pleasing design yet neutral performing sound resolution with clear vocal. This product is highly recommended for those who likes to listen to various music genres while having a limited budget. The product is now on sale at Keephifi's website for only $59 while stock lasts, you won't regret having it!

CCZ1.jpg

CCZ is a fairly new 'Chifi' company in the field, and is well known for their previous releases such as CCZ Coffee Bean, Melody, Emerald, and their expensive flagship level CCZ Plume (which I still use it till today). Recently, CCZ introduced their all new CCZ Warrior which shares the same 1DD+3BA crossover system technology with CCZ Plume.

Packaging/Design:
For the packaging, it is similar to the CCZ Coffee Bean which is simple and basic. The unit comes with cavity that adopts UV light curing PC material, which has a solid build and is wear and scratch resistance. The package comes with a 4 Core OFC Copper cable of fairly good quality, and can be upgraded with better cables. The overall size is not too big, it comes with own patented earfins & eartips, therefore fits comfortably & easily inside the ear without causing pain and pressure after prolonged use. The unit also comes The IEM specifications are somewhat similar to the CCZ Plume released last year, and the cosmetic design can be compared in the image attached below:

CCZ2.jpg

Specification:
Brand & Model: CCZ Warrior
Interface: TFZ 0.78mm (2Pin)
Frequency Response: 20-20kHz
Sensitivity: 108 ± 2dB
Impedance: 18±2Ω
Plug: 3.5mm
Cable material: 4 Core 4N OFC

CCZ3.jpg

Sound Performance:
After reviewing for some time, my opinion is that CCZ Warrior definitely outperformed its older models, namely CCZ Coffee Bean, Emerald & Melody in terms of overall sound performance. It has V-shaped sound signature tuning with one 10mm Dual Magnetic Curcuit Dynamic Driver (bass) + three Balanced Armatures (1 mids & 2 highs) hybrid drivers configuration, reminding me of the familiar sound signature of previous flagship level CCZ Plume. The unit is tuned such that its bass is stong, thick & punchy, elastic and textured, suitable for basshead. Meanwhile, the mids are solid, cohesive and smooth where both male & female vocals are clear and detailed as compared to its predecessors. The treble is bright, energetic & airy and is not too fatiguing. Soundstage wise is considered wide and acceptable for most of the average users.

Conclusion:
CCZ Warrior is quite a decent product with improved overall sound performance from its previous family products. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who has a limited budget but is in need of a goos performing IEM for everyday usage, considering its price of just $32.99 and is quite affordable for most of us.

Pros: - Premium design and good build quality
- Strong punchy bass
- Overall good sound quality
- Comfortable fit in ear

Cons: - Fingerprint magnet due to shiny surface
- Sound resolution could be improved
First of all, I would like to thank Keephifi for sending in a pair of this newly revealed KB Ear Rosefinch for my honest review. Packaging/Design:
For the packaging, we will find a feather-like pattern with the word - Rosefinch, which is a scarlet red/brownish bird found across the world. The unit comes with Zinc alloy faceplate with a shiny Silver color, which will be a fingerprint magnet easily. The package comes with a 4 Core OFC Copper cable of good quality. The overall size is not too big and fits comfortably and easily inside the ear without causing pain and pressure after prolonged use.

Specification:
Name: KB Ear Rosefinch
Driver: 10mm Biological Diaphragm
Impedance: 16Ω
Sensitivity: 103±3DB
FR Range: 20HZ-20KHZ
Cavity Material: Plastic
Cable: 4-core OFC (18*0.05)
Interface: TFZ
Plug: 3.5mm gold-plated jack

20220911_155950.jpg

Sound Performance:
KB Ear Rosefinch wouldn't disappoint me at all. The overall sound quality produced is outstanding considering it's price. Its classical 5um Silicon Composite Biological Diaphragm 10mm Dynamic Driver produces a well balanced U-shaped sound signature. The unit is tuned such that the atmosphere and quantity of bass is thick, strong, dynamic, punchy and elevated, however the speed is slightly slow and can be felt most of the time while using it. This is definitely one of the recommended unit to get if you're a basshead and looking to listen to bassy EDM music. The midbass slightly bleeds and is recessed, clean and smooth without much major issue. Male and female vocals are clear and sound resolution is good. Treble is average and airy, not causing fatigue, thus acceptable. Its soundstage is moderate and could be improved.

Conclusion:
KB Ear Rosefinch is a decent product with modern design and will definitely be appreciated especially by bassheads due to its bass performance considering its price point of just $20.

Packaging/Design:
Starting with its packaging, we will find a huge Cheongsam logo with a Chinese word - 红豆, which basically means 'Red Bean'. Obviously, the overall earphone design is based on the button of a Cheongsam (a dress style typically worn by Chinese women during Chinese New Year festival, etc). It comes with two brilliant color, Red & Grey, but the unit I received is Grey, which is not a bad choice either. It also comes with a premium high quality Leather Case to store the earphone unit. The stock cable is a MMCX type 4 Core braided silver plated copper cable but is easily tangled. The overall size is not too big and fits easily and comfortably inside the ear without causing pain and pressure after prolonged use.

Whether the cable can be replaced: Yes

Sound Performance:
KB Ear Ormosia comes with a 10mm Dynamic Composite Diaphragm and two Composite Balanced Armature driver on each sides which produces incredible sound. The overall sound signature is U-Shaped which is quite balanced and smooth. KB Ear Ormosia produces neutral bass which are not deep and strong and not suitable for pure bassheads, but it is sufficient and decent enough for listening to music as the bass is accurate and punchy. The mids produced are quite smooth, clean and recessed. Male and female vocals are clear, sometimes there will be an echo in the voice of the artist in the middle range, but in most cases it is pleasant to listen to. The highs are extended and is considered average. Overall treble is on the fast, smooth, airy and bright side, and will not causing fatigue. The soundstage is considered huge and just the right amount.

Fit/Comfort:
Trust me, it is very comfortable due to its tiny and ultra lightweight design, build material feels premium. Overall shape is bullet, similar to OnePlus Bullets but much sleek. The cables do feel premium and does not tangle easily.

Sound:
Overall good sound quality, male and female vocals are clear but details are acceptable as compared to other similarly priced IEMs. Sound has a slightly V-shaped signature.

Lows:
The lows are packed, strong bass, have quick response, and is acceptable overall although its tiny size. It might not favour the bassheads, but it is good enough for beginners for daily media consumption and gaming.

The mids are quite clean, full of richness, warm and smooth as expected. Vocal tonality is realistic and has natural tone.

Highs:
The highs are extended and is considered average. Overall treble is on the smooth and bright side.

Medium quality soundstage due to limitation of single composite diaphragm. Layering and instrumentation is good enough to be considered acceptable.

It might be the first time you hear about this Chi-Fi company:- Astrotec, which have previously produced some premium high end IEMs. Recently, they have announced their brand new ultra affordable product - Astrotec Vesna. Keephifi have recently provided me with a pair of Astrotec Vesna for my honest opinion, I do hope that you find my review info useful. Frequency Response: 5Hz - 22kHz
Driver: Japan 2nd Gen LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) Diaphragm

Fit/Comfort:
Definitely a comfortable fit due to its lightweight design, and the earbuds that came along are comfy, build material feels premium and not cheap. Overall shape is bullet, similar to OnePlus Bullets. The cables do feel premium and does not tangle easily.

Sound:
Overall balanced and neutral profile, male and female vocals are clear and not underwhelming. Sound could be improved using good Amplifiers as it demands for more power. Details are clear and acceptable as compared to other similarly priced IEMs. Slightly V-shaped sound and increases with volume.

Bass:
Vesna produces neutral, moderate and clean bass, suitable for daily music listening, but kinda disappointing for basshead. Bass is strong but cannot be compared to high-end IEMs. However there is no bass bleed. Overall acceptable bass for affordable this unit.

Treble:
Vesna produces smooth, gentle, open and airy treble and can be compared with mid range IEMs. Overall above average treble for this unit.

Mids:
Mids produced by Vesna is natural, crisp and clear, and full of richness. Overall midbass is quite flat but acceptable.

Soundstage:
Overall medium quality soundstage but not the widest due to the limitation of single dynamic driver. Instrumental separation is good and acceptable, but congestion is noticeable on complex tracks.

Conclusion:
Astrotec Vesna is definitely a good choice in terms of build quality and performance especially for beginners in the Hi-Fi music world. It is affordable in terms of pricing and suitable for those who seek for quality music but doesn't want to spend a fortune. However, do not expect much if you are a basshead.

Thank you.

CCZ Coffee Bean - An Aesthetically Pleasing Yet Inexpensive IEM
Pros: - Lightweight Design
- Comfortable and fits perfectly
- Good sound performance for a single DD
Cons: - Bass bleed into mids
- Feels Cheap in hands
Recently, KEEPHIFI provided me with a pair of CCZ Coffee Bean and a pair of CCZ Emerald, so here is my quick impression and comparison between these two pairs of budget IEMs. On this topic, I will focus mainly on the Coffee Bean.

20210912_151701.jpg

Introduction
CCZ Coffee Bean is a pair of budget-friendly IEM which comes with one 10mm dual magnetic dynamic driver on each unit.

Design
CCZ Coffee Bean unit comes with UV-Curing PC Cavity with stylish brown color which obviously resembles a coffee bean. It also comes with a 4N OFC cable and 3 pairs of CCZ exclusively patented eartips for enhancing details and soundstage production and reduce sound loss. Build quality is a bit cheap in my opinion.

Comfort
It comes with a CCZ exclusively patented, uniquely designed earfin for comfortable wearing. Due to its lightweight design, I was able to wear this pair of IEM for long periods of time without causing stress on my ears.

Performance
Overall, CCZ Coffee Bean has a typical V-shaped sound signature. It produces fairly warm sound and is smooth and relaxing. Sealing and sound isolation is pretty good. Its bass production is more powerful than that of CCZ Emerald but sometimes bleeds into the mids, mids & treble is smooth but not too bright, vocals are clear. Soundstage is not huge but just great as compared to CCZ Emerald.

Comparison
CCZ Coffee Bean is comparable to the KBEAR KS1 as they have almost similar drivers and frequency response, both are suitable for basshead. As compared to Emerald, the Coffee Bean has almost similar sound performance, and it is slightly louder and produces much greater bass.

Conclusion
CCZ Coffee Bean is stylish, comfortable, nicely tuned and most importantly affordable considering its price of around $20. I would highly recommend this to those who are on a budget but yet would like a pair of good performing and stylish IEM.

CCZ Plume Review, A New Flagship IEM From A New Player
Pros: - Premium Golden Metal Design
- Comfortable and fits perfectly
- Great sound performance
- Huge bass and soundstage for IEM category
- Comes with good quality cables and accessories
- Easy to drive
Cons: - Slightly bulky design
- Bass bleed
- Lacks micro details
Recently, I have won a giveaway of CCZ Plume from Keephifi, and so here is my quick review of this interesting IEM.

plume.jpg

Introduction
CCZ, a fairly new player in CHIFI IEM category has just recently announced its latest flagship level product - CCZ Plume 羽. This product comes with one 10mm dual magnetic dynamic driver & four balanced armature drivers on each pair.

Design
Its packaging comes with a huge Chinese letter, 羽 which is translated into Plume meaning light or soft. CCZ Plume units comes with aluminum alloy full-metal cavity with polished reflective golden finishing which looks premium. It also comes with a 6N single crystal copper wire with 0.78 MM 2PIN and 2.5mm balanced plug. Also comes with a cleaner tool, fiber cloth, 3.5mm adapter & 4.5mm adapter, and a premium leather pouch.

Comfort
It comes with a patented, uniquely designed earfin for comfortable wearing. Five pairs of KBEar07 earbuds were also included in the packaging to fit all types of ears comfortably. Upon testing, it is fit to say that I'm able to wear the units for hours without causing pain on my ears.

Performance
Overall, CCZ Plume has a recessed V-shaped sound signature and focuses mostly on midbass, also providing good sound isolation. It is a much bassy set as it comes with a dual magnetic DD. Bass is powerful, fully energetic and deep but bleeds into the mids occasionally. Treble is smooth yet natural, but lacks micro details for a multi-BA unit. Soundstage is considered huge and decent for a small IEM which can fit into your pocket. From my testing, poor recordings from audio sources are revealing but it is a pro. Mids, instruments and vocals are clear, clean and bright.

Comparison
Since I owned a pair of KZ AS10, it will be used as a comparison. The KZ AS10 produces much cleaner and smoother male/female vocals, while the CCZ Plume has a significantly larger soundstage, more intense bass.

Conclusion
CCZ Plume is a fairly well-designed IEM in terms of aesthetics and technical performance. In short, it has decent soundstage, bass & treble, vocals are clear. Highly recommended for those who have budget, would like shiny products as collection, while also having a good performing IEM on the go.

If you are interested, please visit Keephifi to find out more! Thanks to them again for providing me an opportunity to test out this amazing product.

- Warm low-mids, smooth treble, strong bass, good soundstage.
- Clean and balanced overall sound.

Product:
BLON BL-Mini (silver)

Design:
On first look, I immediately fell in love with its unique sleek and lightweight design. The silver units are shiny, fingerprint proof and feel premium. Product comes with a 2-pin silver braided cable.

Comfort:
Definitely a perfect fit in the ear for me (depends on the tip size), hence creating a tight seal for external sound isolation.

Performance:
Overall above average sound performance with V-shaped sound signature, clean and well balanced. Average highs, warm lows and mids which are great enough, smooth tuned treble, strong and punchy bass which are unexpectedly good for a small slim product, wide soundstage. Sound resolution and vocals are just great but not very detailed and clear enough, but are acceptable.

Comparison:
KZ AS10 - Better bass than AS10, but sound are not as detailed. BLON BL-Mini is definitely good looking & more comfortable than AS10.
KBEAR KS1 - KS1 has slightly better and stronger bass, however BL-Mini has clearer vocals and details as compared to KS1.

Conclusion:
Overall a good product, highly recommended for those who are in a budget but looking for a great headphone.

KB Ear KS1 Short Review, Another Affordable IEM for Bass Lovers
Pros: Powerful Bass
Loud Volume
Lightweight
Affordable
Simple and Modern Design
Fits Perfectly to ear
Good quality cable
Cons: Slightly Above Average highs, lows and mids
Ear hook is acceptable
Acceptable soundstage
Feels cheap
Vocal not clear, but acceptable
Eartips provided feels cheap
I have just recently got my hands on the newly released KB Ear KS1, and I have been testing it for around 2 weeks. For this K Bear (kinda cute), or KB Ear (actual) depending on how you would call it, below is my simple HONEST review for this amazing IEM.

WhatsApp Image 2021-03-26 at 11.41.09 PM.jpeg

Design
Single dynamic driver design. Super lightweight modern design and feels solid, but with cheap 'plastic' feel. Comes with a braided cable which looks awesome. IEM size fits perfectly to the ears. Fingerprint magnet due to the Black color with glossy finishes.

Performance
First impression is that the volume produced is loud, but vocal is not as clear and detailed as my other IEMs. Typical V-shaped sound signature and well tuned for the price. Super punchy and powerful for bass lovers, strong treble. Average and acceptable soundstage & separation, . Sound performance could be improved with better quality cables which can be bought separately. Above average highs, mids and lows, Good for listening to music with bass, and gaming. Average and acceptable sound isolation,

Conclusion
Overall a great 'Chi-Fi', well build and come with V-shaped sound signature. Don't expect too much, but it is well built and worth the value considering the affordable price range as compared to other brands. Highly recommended for budget starters for its price.
