Build quality: These headphones are made of plastic which is to be expected at this price point. While the plastic gives these headphones a cheap look, they are fairly durable. All of the weak points of the headband are reinforced with a thick field of plastic.
Bass: Although the frequency response extends pretty low, the biggest shortcoming of these headphones is their bass. These headphones have clear, fast, and tight bass but the positives end there. The sub bass is rolled off about 10-15 db and the mid bass severely lacks impact.
Vocals: Vocals are cleared and detailed. These headphones do a great job bringing out the imperfections in audio recordings. Female vocals really shine with these headphones while male vocals sound ok at best.
Treble: This is where the headphones truly shine. The detail retrieval of these headphones is second to none at this price range. I mostly listened to orchestral music while using these headphones. Each orchestral instrument sounded extremely satisfying I was easily able to distinguish stringed instruments from the percussive and brass. While I thoroughly enjoy the treble on these headphone, they can be a bit fatiguing and I could never listen to them for long periods of time.
All in all, these are very bright and detailed headphones. These headphones are extremely light and comfortable. I have a rather large head and these headphones fit on my head perfectly. The stock pads are feel like pillows on my ears and I felt no need to swap. If you're looking for detailed headphones for your competitive gaming sessions, then look no further. These headphones are severely lacking on the low end, but can be seen as a benefit in competitive gaming. Having little bass makes it slightly harder to hear footsteps, but much easier to hear small details giving you the advantage over your opponents. The sound stage and imaging is great. The only reason I didn't give these headphones 5 stars is because the headphone's cable is excessively long and is non-removable
The sizzle you find in the AD700X will tone down after a long brain and driver burn in time in regards to the weapons in CS:GO. The biggest issue I believe would have to be the AK47 in regards to that.
