ARTTI R1

General Information

The ARTTI R1 is a new product from ARTTI, and features a triple dynamic driver.
A very fun sound, with excellent imaging and very natural timbre.
The ARTTI R1 comes in at around $80 USD.
I haven't personally heard anything in the R1's price range that has imaging and such a natural and organic sound such as the R1 does.

Cons: Picky whit tip
Right, my take on the Artti R1. I had them for quite a while in my IEM collection. I personally paid around 57 euro for the set. Ordered them 23 november 2023 so around the black friday sales. Next to his Planar brother the T10 has a nice metal shell with 3DD’s inside. Yes i bought them both on the same day lol. Now I'm waiting on the R2 to arrive in the mail that I bought from Volkschio.

As listed above it is a 3DD but they wanna call it 2+1DD for some reason. I understand that it has a similar driver config then the LetShuoer DZ4 minus the PR driver that the DZ4 has. and quite similar to the new CCA Trio that came on to market just before the Chinese holiday. But that more inspired from the Raphsody tuning wise. There are probably other IEM’s with 3DD’s but I don’t know all of them on the top of my head but here for the R1.

Tonally wise what can i say is has the bass and the thump and the elevated sub bass. What makes this IEM that warmer sounding but the bleed is absolutely minimal into the mids. Decay is still good in the base region, might be not the quickest but is very sure not bad. It’s a slight V shape with a focus more onto the bass. Making the whole IEM sound more lush and warm a tat fuzzy.

Mids are not that recessed. but i can see for some ppl that the bass is too overpowering and that they might get overshadowed. Upper mids however are emphasized so that they can still shine through what still that Female vocals and electric guitars still can come through without being overshadowed. What is a plus point in my book.

Technicals aren’t really the most capable if it comes to technicals but they are far from the worst there are above average. Although having separate drivers helps in this case. They don’t fight each other and they play nice on the switch without making a fuss with each other. Some details might get lost in the mix since it is a bassy IEM. They have okay height and depth to my liking. The imaging is nice and big so you can pinpoint instruments out even the backing vocals. IEM at this price range. It doesn't jump above any other special not his brother in law. What I found was the tips that can make or break this IEM. Some tips will make it muddy and dark, others make it more open and somewhat airy.
The treble is not sparklies in the world but it is not overly overcompensated bright either. Like Hi-hats have decent sparkle without being blunted the hell out of them.

All said and done they belong in the price bracket especially on sale since they are from time to time. Do they jump out? They kinda do there are IEM’s for this price that are way way worse tuning and sounding wise then this. but i think there are also some better ones. Depending on what you're looking for if you want a brighter style a EA500LM of the T10 might be a better option for you but there are also differences in build and drivers. But If you are looking for a warm sounding i’m this is definitely a YES in my books. Even the tip choice as well with the T10 can make a huge difference. They can go from muddyish to wide open depending on the tips you pick!
ARTTI R1
Pros: Excellent Imaging, Natural Timbre, Organic, No Sibilance At All, Triple Dynamic Drivers, Very Versatile, Price, Value, Pocketable Case, Usable Cable.
Cons: Literally none I can think of, apart from the stock cable, which isn't may favourite cable at this price range, but that's just nit picking.

LET'S BEGIN WITH THE SOUND:

SUB BASS:
The sub bass is rather smooth and quite naturally textured like the lower mids, and the upper mids and treble.
It's not the most prominent sub bass, but it has some decent extension, and quite a natural attack and decay, it gets the job done when it needs to, without being bloated or over powering the mids or treble, giving the R1 a natural warmth and great texture, without the sub bass bleeding too much into the lower mids.
Gives a little extra wight to the lower mids too.

LOWER MIDS:
The lower mids on the R1 are also quite natural, kick drums and bass guitars sound natural, they have just the right amount of punch and bite and sound quite natural, the lower mids aren't too forward, or too distant from the centre stage either, you can hear drums and base guitars clearly, they don't feel too veiled or too forward either.

MIDS & UPPER MIDS:
Mids and upper mids, give a nice and natural texture to vocals, and other instruments in tracks, like one of my reference tracks right now, And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope, by Ne Obliviscaris, the vocals, guitars and drums are all clear and clean, and sound pretty natural, with good texture and a small amount of micro details, just makes everything feel very natural and warm.
The mids and upper mids are well textured, with a bit of warmth coming from the lower mids.

TREBLE:
The treble is also fairly natural, although it's not going to be a particularly sparkly or energetic treble, but just a fairly neutral treble, with good detail and good texture and resolution, with some micro details that add to the great imaging the R1 has.
Both male and female vocals sound fantastic on the R1 because of such natural and well balanced mids and treble.

IMAGING:
The imaging of the R1 is very good, nothing like I've heard in any other IEM's in their price range yet.
You can place instruments, vocals and guitars, drums, all quite naturally within the sound stage, giving the R1 it's very natural and well textured sound.

CONCLUSION:
The ARTTI R1 is one of the best imaging and most naturally presented IEM's I've come across in the sub $100 price range, and has become one of my reference sets for the sub $100 market.

CREDIT TO:
Lastly I want to thank ARTTI for sending the R1 out for review.
It's been an absolute pleasure to listen to.

Just opened my R1s. I received a decent cable with mine that has a 4.4 connector. No 3.5 . Must be the North American version. It is my preferred connection.

Yeah I usually use 4.4 myself, with, Xduoo xp2 BAL, Truthear Shio and the SMSL ho100 all having a 4.4 output.
