I hate not being able to make a decision... (GS1k vs. HD650)
I own both the GS1000s and HD650s, but I prefer the Grados. The sound is much more detailed IMO, and they work really well with low-volume listening.- jesperh85

best blues/jazz electric guitar albums
I like John Abercrombie's "Timeless" with Jan Hammer and Jack DeJohnette. It's not a traditional jazz album, but interesting in many ways. -
Classical Recomendations?
My first encounter with classical music was Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor. It is not complicated and very beautiful IMO. From there try Beethoven's and Sibelius' symphonies. -
Beethoven's Piano Sonatas
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Paul Lewis' complete cycle of the sonates. All the four volumes has been an editor's choice in Gramophone, and I own three of them. I have Goode's cycle, but for better sound and for a more modern approach to the music I warmly recommend Lewis' readings. -
