I had the same imbalance with mine, right louder than left.  Don't forget to seal off the open space around the cable jack in the cup.  It is suggested that you use silicon, I used newplast.   Phill

Thanks, but If I covered the baffle port with newplast I wont be able to locate it on the backside of the baffle, is it Ok to to push a sewing needle through the port from the ear side?  Thanks.   Phill

Quick question, when newplast is applied to the back of the baffle does this close off the baffle port.  If so, should the baffle port be opened from the ear side with something like a paper clip or a sewing needle.  Thanks.   Phill

The felt is standard adhesive felt from Michaels, it is actually pretty thin.  I hate to open the cans again because of stretching the 840 pads every time they are removed but let me see if I can take some pictures.  If I had it to do all over again I would have added the felt when I installed...

Well I just finished off my DBV #3 build.  I used fiberglass and cotton instead of rockwool, I wasn't sure if the rockwool is supposed to be kept in a sliced portion sort like a slice of cheese or if it should be pulled apart.  The problem I had with the rockwool was trying to slice 2 pieces...

In response to the post using a wire tie to fix the stripped plastic piece I have used a piece of flat toothpick placed in the screw hole which works great unless all the threads are stripped.
