I am looking to get an amp soon, budget is 1000usd and not sure which one to go for. Currently have the RS1 and CD3000 but may get the T1 or HD800. I dont need the amp with DAC as I will get the DAC on its own. Mainly listen to Pop and classics, hope you guys could help me out.

I have the X5L but I do not like it at all compared to Kenwood D9EC, TOSHIBA F60. I will say it's the same level as the sony A808, maybe even slightly. The sound is too warm for me and not airy, soundstage is normal. I was expecting more from it but it disapointed me. Just my personal opinion.

It seems someones selling NH1 in sencond hand forum with a quite good price. This MD player is good. Other than this, EH1 and RH1 are all good.

Yes, they do have quite a lot hiss especially for the old one such as A7, but for D9 you really should not hear much hiss.

The only thing I care about is the SQ, they are quite ugly but still cool to me.

The 530s are among the best IEMs in market generally.

I also think the level of the improvements depend on the combination of your amp and your IEMs. I mean the hornet may not be suitable for ER-4S, people were saying the xin reference is more capable for the ER4s. However I can not wait for such a long time. Hope can get a second-hand one.( but...

Don't think the clip can do this job. PK1s are really diffcult to drive among all the earphones. But its got a lot potential to improve, it will impress you a lot.

Thank you for the advice. Due to some restrictions I am not allowed to have a proper cd player or any better source other than these portable ones. So I really should not expect too much from them. Less expectations more satisfaction.
