Many years ago, I recall a website that would buy high end disc transports/players and upgrade the internals to make them really awesome. Do any fellow old-timers around here remember the name of that site? It's been bugging and I wondered if they're still around.

I have an 80GB iPod 5.5 that I bought new and have cared for extremely well (still looks new). The HD is making lots of interesting noises and presumably about to die. I've replaced the battery in this device 3 months ago, so replacing the HD isn't a hurdle... just wonder if its really worth it...
