Bumping my own thread here, but has anyone found these for sale? I'm quite keen to take one for the team with the 238 and report back, as long as they aren't prohibitively expensive.

Just pointing out that, contrary to the thread title, it's a review of the HFI-580, not the 780. Otherwise, I'd tend to agree with G-man that the review does seem less technical and comprehensive than what we'd expect on this site. However, CNET is aimed at a much wider audience than Head-Fi, so...

I have the Sennheiser hanger (it comes with the HD485 and HD595, of which I have the former), and it works very well. I use it to hang my cans off a bookshelf, and it is a very neat and tidy solution. The padded top is a nice touch, although coated with some fairly cheap-feeling leatherette...

I remember seeing some Sony cans with a retractable cable on AudioCubes a while back. I think they are these. EDIT: Another set of headphones with a retractable cable are the Audio-Technica ATH-WM5. I've never tried either these or the Sony headphones, so I can't comment on the sound.

Those look a lot like the ATH-M50 by audio-technica (see here and here). EDIT: wow, I've just realised that I've never posted on Head-Fi before! Too much browsing, too little contribution.
