After reading much about SACD vs. redbook CD I have made my mind up to get the oppo 980 for the best of both worlds on a budget. To cut to the chase can I simply use the SPDIF coax to an axternal DAC for redbook playback? However I will use the analog out on the oppo for SACD and DVD-A playback.

A vintage Marantz Model 1060. What can you guys tell me about it. Its very heavy and after spending some time in the background here this thing may have more value to it than I know.
