I am currently amping my DT 990 with the audio-gd Sparrow, and i have no clue if this is enough, never heard any other sort of amp. There is need for more amplification that will justifiy the purchase of a separate amp? Also, which one do you guys suits better these beyers, SS or tube amps?  ...

Mine arrived very quickly to Brazil, but i got taxed, lol. I'm going to get it tomorrow, then i will post my impressions against my realtek onboard soundcard. I'm very curious to see the results.

I've ordered the B version with WM8741. It cost me $15 to upgrade. It's my introduction to dedicated amp/dac department. Let's see what's coming for me.

I will use the DT 880 (600 ohm) with the Sparrow B version from Audio-GD. It will cost less then $200 (shipping from China included), and the unit works as a DAC and AMP. It may not be THE option in amplification for beyers, but for a budget amp, it quite does its job, they say.

So, Sparrow support ASIO or i will have to emulate it with ASIO4ALL? Will it make a difference in sound (using basic version)?

My friend has one, and i listened to it sometimes. For $34, is a no brainer.

Anyone here EQ the UM3X in the high range? If so, how you EQ?

How does the D2K behaves with metal/hard rock?   Grados are always a first recommendation at this genres, but since i listen to other genres too, i think the D2K will be a better all arounder. But i am really confuse of which one to get.

How's the AKG K 702 bass compared to the UM3X bass?
