Ps I'm getting a good seal in both ears so the poor performance (in comparison to Comply's) is not due to poor fit.

Yes, one would "assume"  but... I'm wondering what people's ACTUAL experience has been when comparing the Comply's to the custom ACS. 

Just got the custom tips for my HF3. The sound seems more balanced than any other tips I've tried with the Ety's but I'm a little surprised that I seem to get better isolation with Comply's. Isolation and comfort where that main reasons to get the custom tips. Has anyone else had that experience?

Does anyone know if the earcup "swivel" on the strap can be tightened so that it  doesn't move so easily? I suspect that the blue cover cap can pop off  so the swivel can be tightened but I don't want to force it  and not be able to get it back on. 

I've been toying with the idea of going all out on a custom  IEM but want something that is optimized for a portable source such as an iPhone. I am a little worried that I might invest  $500-$1000 on something that people rave about only to find out that it needs an  outboard amp to really sing...

Just thought I'd mention I actually compared the Momentums (which I got for a great price) back to back with the Amperiors. It was "no contest". The Momentums are more comfortable, look pretty and sound pretty (for casual listening) but... the Amperior is a serious audio "tool" that is revealing...

BTW, these probably work so well for me because my 53 year old ears probably don't hear high frequencies like they used to. Even with that, it's clear that this earphone is significantly rolled off... but,  in such as way that most of music still sounds balanced and in such as way that serves...
