MK9 buffer is way more wider and double PCB layers, there is no way to fit this inside of xd05pro unit with door closed. MK8 buffer seems to be the same size as typical empty dip8 socket, but has little bit higher feet.

there was 100 set of s17 pro bundle purchasing event in South Korea hifi forum. as I looked through their user feedback, my conclusion is, firmware version doesn’t matter, date of manufacturing doesn’t matter. in/out media type doesn’t matter. length of headphone cable doesn’t matter...

mine was tested in 19C degree. photo was taken before I returned.

haha.. that could be the their fix. Or they may reduced the operating power from 100ma to 75ma. This is the reason new firmware may affect the sound quality. :)
