Hidition Viento-B CIEM gives me a good experience.
Received my custom-made Viento B from Hidition and wanted to leave a brief review a few days after receiving it. Before placing my order, I did some searching around and couldn't find much information, so I'll include some points I was curious about. Hopefully, this will be helpful to those...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
A Korean user said that the thread measured even at a distance above that, and there seems to be no significant difference after about 4m. In addition, noise floor management becomes very difficult. It requires too much volume in outdoor(10~20m) I think deep insertion may or may not help. I saw...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
When worn correctly, it is uniform to play the sign-sweep while touching the IEM, but finding the right IEM is another matter. Some IEMs don't have pictures, but honestly I'm not happy with all IEMs either. Ironically, the only IEM that gave me satisfaction in the reproducibility of...- XingYu

Yes. that's right. However, if you apply personal calibration to the right tip and the right response for the position of the ear microphone, that problem is solved. Leading the response from Etimotic by 5128, I have converted all the IEMs I have into personal PEQs which are successful. Such...- XingYu

I don't think so. In Korea, there is already a trend of using brir as an IEM. They have a much better response, lower THD, and if worn correctly, a more consistent sound, and if soundproofed well, you can listen to songs in the same silence as you would in an anechoic chamber (more dynamic...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
To fully enjoy Dolby Atmos from Windows OS to height channels, you need a multi-channel audio interface and a receiver. Each convolution must be applied at the DAW stage. Tracking or extracting an individual's HRTF is a good thing. If you have a chance, measure it from various distances. The...- XingYu

Can you show your original FL,FR and Headphones file? Or try ReRecord? (Decrease Gain) I hear a lot of distortions when I turn the volume up. I think something went wrong during the recording step. (i means not clean)- XingYu

Can I or we also disable it? I or some certain people would love it if I could deactivate it. I've been calibrating the delay by forcing it in the file that's already been made, and this has been pretty inefficient. It's not a huge difference, but at least I felt the smoothest channel switch...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I found something strange while making seven-channel files and correcting other people's. I thought the impulcifer was time-aligned to help with this because the impulse peaks of the recordings sometimes don't match exactly. So I copied the same FL,FR file and tested it after renaming it...- XingYu

Benchmark can record make 4ch true stereo or 14ch All each track? As i know, To do that, you would have to record each track in mono. Also, Audacity was more appropriate for my purpose because if the Impulse makes an error, only certain tracks need to be forced to play 20us to 40us fast or slow.- XingYu

I recorded the screen for some Korean HRIR/BRIR users. It is a loopback using VB cable and Audacity. As you can see Use an EQ txt file made by REW, or apply an FIR filter, or use a pre-amp to make speaker deviation or headphone deviation gain matching, etc Hang what you're going to do on the...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
Good! First of all, it was difficult to check what file you usually listen to, and it may be a little different from the way I used to do it because I put it on my own. So if when you hear it, it's similar to what you originally hear, but it feels like it's definitely filled with bass, it's...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
I always use headphone for hrir(brir) system on PC. But I purchased Apple's earpods wire and tried with it. The results were better than I thought. I first listened to the files made for the 800s, and except for the ultra-high notes, the feeling from 500 to 6000 Hz, which corresponds to the...- XingYu

I sent the FL,FR file again by reply. Check it out. I hope it works. It may not work. (very sad) I purposely used a KOSS ksc75headphone with a very weak lowbass to get rid of the variable while I was testing your file.. It's not the right file for my ears, but just in case. So I didn't test it...- XingYu

Recording Impulse Responses for Speaker Virtualization
Yes and No. It's not necessary, but we know from Dr. Tool's and many acoustic researchers' data that it's not necessary. Early reflection is not necessarily a bad thing. But the important point is that "uncontrolled" early reflection is likely to have a negative effect. Here's the easiest way to...- XingYu

Near mono placement (8-degree placement to be exact, not the usual 30-degree stereo) is Main Response. (FL-L, FR-R) something like this. this is main FR I removed the crosstalk information from about 250 to 8000hz. I haven't added bass to these measurements yet, because the crosstalk...- XingYu

And this means You did use "Decay Parameter"? or anything else? This is why I measured it in a large space at a height of 2m. This is to remove all reflections without using decay parameters.- XingYu

In my case, most of the calibration is done directly with REW. The features in the impulcifer are great, but I don't use them at all. Could you post umik measurement of your room in REW? Decay, RT60 things. I know from the last article that you tried to damp RT60 using blankets and sofas. But...- XingYu

Thanks. Yes. When it's in your ear properly, it won't move even if you shake your head. But be careful, even that tiny 3mm microphone will create that much pressure if it's stuck too deep. You'll need to gently wiggle it out. Hi. And thanks. That's the only Samson microphone I've used, so I...- XingYu

What you did has the same purpose as what I did! I wanted a more pure sound, and I needed materials that I could work with, so I went a little more crazy with the measurements, and I don't think it's a bad idea to go this far if you have an in-room with some room acoustics.- XingYu

Decay is Perfect! And most importantly, this is not the end. I have 72 messages for each distance at a 360 degree angle (there's another height channel!) This is that I can apply as many reflections as I want. I can create "the space I want" to be precise. And this clean direct sound is just a...- XingYu

I used the speaker set up in the in-room and was quite satisfied. But I had no choice but to dispose of the speaker because of my family and various personal reasons.
