Unique Melody Mage Review & Appreciation Thread

so I just got my mages. I'm quite impressed with the speed, the accuracy and the sound stage. but I found the sound to be a bit thin..but then I put my fingers on the monitors and push it a little bit further in, and omg what a great bass, just the right amount, and seriously good quality. but i...

custom iem, for prog metal( dream theater) es2 jh5 ue4

with the d2's I'm quite worried about the ui. I'm so used to the smooth ui of ipod touch. I hate the sound quality though, but ui and playlists, few pmp even come near that quality. I was saying that few CHINESE audiophiles have heard of mage. I was looking for reviews and comparasions on...

I'm using um2 for more than 3 years, it's been great, i like the over all sound of that. lately i'm thinking of going custom. bugdet 400$, 70% of the time i listen to prog metal ( dream theater, lte, opeth, circus maximus...), so there'll be a lot going on at the same time. so i want good speed...

ER4P or SF.5 pro's for prog. metal( Dream theater)

thanks for the tip. But i'm still worried about the sound being too flat and sharp. last year i bought audio technica ew9, they produce a very warm and lovely sound. but when i listen to dream theater with them, it's horible!! i can't feel the power of their music at all, it's even annoying. As...

ER4P or SF.5 pro's for prog. metal( Dream theater)

I'm still hesitating between er4p and ue5. I really like the accuracy on er4p and the good mid-range. But i don't want those come with pain in the ear. But then again, a strong bass of ue5 might also cause ear damage right? If some1 can say for sure that er4p doesn't annoy the ears and that...

ER4P or SF.5 pro's for prog. metal( Dream theater)

thanks for all the opinion guys. first i thought maybe i should go for the sfp. but when i see some fellow DT fan say that er4p is great for DT, i'm getting confused. 90% of the time i listen to DT or similar stuff. Indeed i could make a dicission right away if i could try them out.But it's...

ER4P or SF.5 pro's for prog. metal( Dream theater)

I can't decide between er4p and SF.5 pro's I listen mostly to Dream theater. So i need good mid-range for the guitar. It must be clear to hear the instruments., but still solid. Normally i would pick er4p but i'm worried about the sound being to sharp or thin. And is the SF.5 pro's bass too...
