got my MJ3 back a week ago but was on vacation. Finally got to set it up a few nights ago and run it. From the repair paper, looks like they changed a few caps, some resistors, and diodes for stability. Visually on both channels they changed out both front most caps to the black ones now.

From what I've read in my time, USB 2.0 is generally enough for DACs cause that's enough bandwidth for audio, and a 2.0 cable is better cause there's less extra pins connected that would have potential for ground loops or anything else, but thats from stuff I've read once here and there.

Already started to contact them, so whenever i hear something. unfortunately like nick said they usually cover one way so we’ll see if they throw me a bone, just fairly just annoyed i have to send it back twice for repairs in under 6 months of ownership, but hopefully they’ll take care of me. 😩

yeah kind of annoying considering I had already sent this MJ3 back cause apparently the last repair said the bias pots had failed or were failing, causing static. So if I have to send this back a second time not really happy about that.

hmm this made me check mine and i noticed this brown spot on top of one of the same caps on that same side 😫

question are you using 5ghz wifi or 2.4ghz, cause apparently theres kind of a known thing for USB 3.0 ports to have some kind of interference with 2.4ghz wifi although. It's largely been solved I still occasionally can see it happen if the circumstances are right.

yeah same my Pontus II doesnt even get remotely warm. I have my Hermes on top of mine, neither of them get warm at all.

It does do DoP as that’s the setting i have for my HQPlayer. If DSD is playing the DSD light comes on, on my Pontus II

Can’t say i remember unfortunately, although that largely comes down to your local FedEx Delivery people. Sometimes my packages require signatures but they just bypass it anyways.

I think it took about a 1 to 1.5 weeks.

thats very cool I was curious to try something like this myself (I also have a freya+ and MJ3) but am not sure what volume and levels to set each one at. I might try it and experiment.

I think the terminators don’t have a “-1” revision yet. but they do have a 12th anni. that -1 is just a revision number as far as i can tell

Picked one of these bad boys up, gonna let it burn in. But initial impressions is very nice.
