Sadly i have to say goodbye to arguably the best bass IEM for quite some time now. I am selling them because i bought a different IEM, they are in like new condition, with all original accessories. They were bought from a fellow Head-Fier in August of 2022. Asking 1250 euros, shipment in...- Gamster

FiiO's Crown Jewel of Portable Music Player M11 Plus LTD Is Officially Released!
Anyone has noticed the device gets really warm after a few hours of use on High gain. I tried combating this by switching to Low gain, which might have helped but the device gets warm regardless. -

Discover a new world of sound: Make way for the IE 200
Wondering how these compare to some other offerings in that price range, like The Dioko, S12 and maybe even the KATO.- Gamster

Help me a pick an endgame IEM
I can maybe help with this topic as I have the Odins and have tried some other IEMs. The Sony Z1R-IER has the best bass around, not even the Odins come close, but they do lack a bit of midrange which sucks for most normal listens. Odins have a great FR but are a bit forward in the midrange, you...- Gamster

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
LOL, didn't mean to open a can of worms, was just curious if the cable does that on its own or mine just passed through more extensive beatings than normal.- Gamster

Audio-Technica ATH-R70x - In-Depth Review & Impressions
I did the exact upgrade, from R70X to a Focal Clear, and if the weight of the Focals is not an issue they are much cleaner sounding. Sound-stage might not be as big but the detail is better. I would consider the Clear to be a much better upgrade over the R70X, but i also always felt like the...- Gamster

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
I have a question concerning the Stormbreaker cable. I bought the EE Odins from a fellow Head-fi member not so long ago, but the cable i got seems weird. It's 100% the original cable but it has some twists in it, and because of those it's never truly straight. I love the IEMs but the cable...- Gamster

Trying to get a new iem at budget
I own the Zero, CRA and CRA+, Chus etc etc... Bassically all budget ones more or less xD My suggestion is the Salnotes zero. Why? Because they just sound much more expensive than they are. Bass is just right, and midrange is pleasing. They straight out beat the CRA on everything, CRA+ is a good...- Gamster

What to Upgrade to From Blessing 2 : Dusk
I would guess that an upgrade to the B2D (which I haven't heard) is the Variations, and those are very Harman tuned. I own the monarchs and while they are like S tier for their midrange they do lack some punch in the bass, can't really comment on the treble.- Gamster

Headphones / IEMs worth the cheddar...
Nice write up, I just got into the hobby recently, about a year ago and I am not really knowledgeable about the technicalities but i do know what i want. So after buying a few stuff i can share some thoughts. 1. ATH-R70x - Audio-Technica I started with these because of their sound-stage...- Gamster

Astell&Kern SR25 MKII or Fiio M11 PLUS LTD
Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy my first DAP and I need some advice. After looking at these more carefully I know the pros and cons more or less, but what I don't understand is the power output. The Fiio says it has an amp and output of 558mw at 32 ohms, while the SR25 has 4.0 VRSM at 0...- Gamster

Will my portable DAC drive my IEMs?
Wow that's a wall of text, I will hopefully understand the concepts one day to digest this whole read better, but for right now i get the gist of it. It's a good thing i don't need something more, but it might be smart to invest on a better portable DAC is what it's coming down to. Thank you...- Gamster

Will my portable DAC drive my IEMs?
Okay i see so a better portable DAC/AMP might be needed if i want the fuller sound that the monarchs provide. I do have a topping stack at home but can't use that outside xD. Thanks for the advice.- Gamster

Will my portable DAC drive my IEMs?
Hi there, I'm relatively new to this whole audiophile world and I don't understand a lot of concepts but most above all is the impedance/matching Impedance stuff, so i was hoping someone would help me out. Will my Thieaudio Monarch mk2 be drived by my phone (S20U) or my DAC (M-DAC Nano)? The...- Gamster
