I just love my HEKSE with the Schiit Mjolnir 3. You should add it to your list. They're a great match.

Has anybody tried the Empyrean 2 with the Mjolnir 3?

That is the pairing I have and I absolutely love it. HE1000SE never sounded better than with the Mjolnir 3

Very similar combo here (other than the DAC). With the MJ3, I think I can comfortably say that people who find the HE1000SE too bright will change their mind...This is a killer match!

Visited the Schiit website for a totally unrelated reason on Sunday evening and saw the M3 was out. Ordered it immediately! Still hasn`t shipped. Crossing my fingers that it ships by the end of the week. Website says 5 to 7 days... Can`t wait to hear how it sounds with my HE100SE and HE6SEV2.

Not sure. If it is similar to the other Denafrips 12th iterations, my guess would be improverd PSU, DSP board and notably, changes to the NOS mode.
