Thank again for your reply, butI still did not get it. imagine a situation where I am playing music directly from phone to headphones by usb-c. Where is the DAC in this case? Hello, thanks for your reply. however I can plug in directly to the usb-c some cheap heaphones. They just dont have a jack 3,5mm but directly usbc connector. Does it mean that the DAC is not in the phone but in the headphones in this case?- Becis

First propper headphones
The other choice which I would have are AKG K712 PRO, because I can buy them around 270usd which is way less than 440usd for Hifiman Sundara. However I read that they are quite amp picky, so I am afraid if the Xduoo Link 2 would be enough for them.- Becis
