Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread

I'm looking for a regular, non-balanced 3.5 replacement cable for my Final Audio a4000. I dont even hate the cable they came with. But, after spending thousands on IEMs, I've found my endgame, and I'll be heartbroken if this cable fails and I can't replace it.

    Tin HiFi Impressions Thread

I just bought the Tin T4s from amazon and I have to say I am exceptionally impressed. Before I say anything about the sound, I want to point out something interesting. My T4s came in a white box, not a black box. Additionally, the cable is not that two-core cable with the loose braid, but rather...

IEMs for death metal - understanding sound curves.

UPDATE. I've now removed the Simgot EN700 Pro from my list of possible choices and added the Simgot EM2. I know they are inexpensive, but i'm hoping they'll have what I'm looking for.

Gruesome, Entombed, Deeds of Flesh, Defeated Sanity, Immolation, Rottrevore, Human Mincer, old Cryptopsy. Basically stuff like that.

IEMs for death metal - understanding sound curves.

The problem is I am using a very rudimentary set up. I don't have any amps or anything like that. I want to get into that stuff, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. I primarily (read: exclusively) listen to music with my apple music subscription on my samsung galaxy s20+, and my...

I'm quite willing to buy used as long as it's from someone with good feedback.

IEMs for death metal - understanding sound curves.

I know it's not your problem, but help me out a little. I'm driving myself crazy trying to find good IEMs for death metal. Here's the quick version: I bought the blon bl03 and I love them, however they seem to sound "cramped" to my ears when I play some death metal. Some of it sounds fabulous...

    Good cans for death metal

UPDATE EVERYONE: I got my MSR7B cans today. They are perfect. I cannot even believe it. I'm at a loss for words. I've never heard anything like these. By the way, maybe it's the ultra-low tuned guitars and bass in a lot of death metal making me think this but -- how is it possible to consider...

New to the idea of using an amp

The other thing I should mention is -- I listen to music exclusively on apple music -- is it worth it to spend money on an amp with this kind of audio? Will it still improve the sound? I have a cheap android phone and a pixelbook go as my sources. As of tomorrow, I should have a moto g stylus...

    Good cans for death metal

i know it's not as bassy as the ath-m50x, but is there at least a solid punch from the kick drum? I really like a nice, fast, punch from a kick drum. Yes, i am extremely interested. pm me before you list.

    Good cans for death metal

I'm leaning heavily towards the 99s. I do not have any intention of driving these with an amp or anything , just using my smart phone. Will the 99s still sound okay?

    Good cans for death metal

Okay guys, forget about hifiman. I've read some horror stories about build quality and so those are out. It's currently between the audio technica msr7b and the phillips fidelio x2hr

    Good cans for death metal

Since I primarily (read: exclusively) use apple music a dap is a no-go. The funny thing is, I have a pixelbook go and an android phone, but apple music is -- by far -- the best streaming service so I stuck with them. What about those cheap usb-c dongles/dac things. do those acrtually improve sound?

New to the idea of using an amp

I know virtually nothing about amps or other sources that are not a laptop or a smart phone. So for my edification, is there any reading you guys can recommend so I can understand this stuff better? Also, I'm not in a position to spend 400 dollars on an amp, particularly when my most expensive...

    Good cans for death metal

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'm most likely going to go for the audio technica MSR7B. I don't have any amps or anything, can those be driven okay without them? I don't listen to lossless music anyway, I use apple nusic.

IEM for death metal on a budget - HELP!

I'm driving myself crazy here. I have spent hours and hours researching different IEMS that are good for death metal specifically. Now, from what I'm reading -- a v-shaped signature is a big no-no for metal. That's fine. My wife stole my ATH-M50x cans and so i'm stuck with soundmagic e10s which...
