I have also noticed many distortions, but the worst for me, was track 14. at 1:34 - very heavy cracking in left channel (like when u have broken headphone driver). Here's the pic from Vegas. but awesome CD though.

HD280 aren't comfortable by my opinion... I've had them and I can't stand them on my head more then 2hours... Clamping force is high and the headphones itself are very robust and quite heavy. Plus they need to be driven with powerful amp... I have the HD580 now, and find them most comfortable...

so another voice for NO.... I've had HD280 Pro-13 while my friend is still using HD 270 and I must say, that HD 270 are far inferior to the HD280. I think, that HD 270 are one of the worst headphones Sennheiser made.

Audigy 1 was crap with its sigmatel codecs Audigy 2 is much better because of crystal codec installed I think any other 7.1 card won't be significant better than Audigy 2

3dB? Not so much as you expect I think My senny HD280 have 32dB of isolation and if I§m listenning to the music little bit loud, people around me are hearing it as a whispering. I think you should not go under 20dB of isolation.

I'm using SB Live! with my Senn HD280-13 (300Ohm variant). I would recommend you KXdrivers (www.kxproject.com) for your sound card. There you can swap front and rear outputs on your card, because rear sounds better than front due to the different codec use. But the dark side of it is that rear...
