Regarding the BGVP VG4. My dear friends from russian DIY community are discovered a big tweak for this IEM, makes it sound more balanced and natural. I want to shre it with you guys. VG4 acts differently depending on source's output impedance. Sources with ~0-2 Ohm makes it sound too bright...

EJ07 and ST7 also use Sonion 2389 for midrange. EST looks the same to me. Never had the Strarlight for testing, but I'm sure they are identical to EJ07 and ST7.

As AE shop manager told me, $500-ish prices was to get more people to try ST7, to launch the hype wave at the sales start. I think the next opportunity to get ST7 for $500-550 will appear only on 11.11, if at all.

Standard knowles dampers, yes. Actually both are changeable, but for EST it is more tricky and you risk to crack the shell.

Every DD needs some burn time. Right out of the box the bass is a bit lacking, but after 30-40 hours of play time it will be much better.

Sorry to see that. But don't give up! You can still order a new shells for this drivers. Universal fit like EJ07 or custom for your ears.

Congratulations! Glad you like it. The bass will become more potent after 30 hours approx. It sounds a bit thin right out of the box.

Could you please quote some of these post or upload a file with your research? It is interesting what kind of issues people have and also how many unique users reported. I know of 2 ST7 and 2 EJ07 that me or my friends own at least half a year. No problems at all.

I checked the impedance earlier, even different shops had different info regarding ST7. Checked one more time now - all say the same though. But when you get earphones, there is no information on the box or any manual. Nothing. I know how OEM works and I don't think we should take this numbers...
